Dear Pawn Stars, a correction from us Malaysians, Indonesians and South Philippinos, fwd to 21:45 It's 'PARANG' with a 'P'! Not 'B', widely shared amongst many Austronesian languages Malay, Indonesian & Tausug (South Sulu). Just simply Google translate 'machete' from English to Malay. While 'Barang' in Malay & Indonesian literally means 'stuff', 'inventory', 'item', 'goods' etc.

How could you possibly predict that you go into a pawn shop to sell a sword used by John Wayne and get to meet his actual son? Wow, that in itself would be worth it alone.

I love how a ton of the people on here immediately run out to pawn whatever their deceased relative has passed down to them. Yup, I'm sure that guy's grandpa, who kept the sword for a generation, would love for his grandson to sell it immediately.

I get it for most items but come on, its a 100k sword and its not something that is close to him, its not his grandpas personal item that is really emotional. Its like if they would give you gold bars you wouldnt sell them? I would keep something else like his glasses or something.

I’ve seen the episode about that Japanese sword but its crazy now when you realise that many swords from that time period are hard to find intact , which means they’ve been heavily used , I would’t wanna be at the receiving end of one of those either 👀

I dont know much about reality tv, but even if the show is fake, this is in my opinion a nice way of entertainment and a learning experience in history and character building.
