The Attenborough pitcher plants are upside down. They are a carnivorous plant species and are supposed to resemble a pitcher (like a water pitcher). They are often filled with fluid and catch their prey that way

Funfact about captive animals vs wild animals Often times the reason their wild ranges are larger is because of food, its harder to find food in a smaller area so the animal can rotate around its territory to make sure it always has access to food Captive animals get fed by their keepers and so often dont need huge expenses of territory and can do just fine in smaller habitats Also a male tigers range in the wild would overlap with the ranges of multiple female tigers

Your idea with the proper territory biomes sounded great! To make people see the animals, perhaps have them walk through tunnels/Bridges over the enclosures?

Suggestion! At the end of your videos, since it's getting so big, could you do a quick overview shot of the entire zoo? Doesn't have to be for long, maybe just like a still image at the end so we all can get an idea of where everything is located. It's turning out great by the way! I am a recent subscriber and I've binged all of it.

something that I think would help is adding another staff area by that I mean the animal quarantine, the vet etc just so that the animals dont take as long to get into their habitat.

This is a decent habitat the stand out is the waterfall but this is also a pretty basic habitat without a backstage the hiding area is pretty basic as well 5/10

Hi! Also just warning you in a few episodes I will be posting a very long comment. I have been keeping track of all the animal's deaths and I'm making a list of the names and the species they are. And also, the L key will turn on a torch that is very helpful at night so you can open your zoo longer.

i would love to see a north america section next!!! my first idea would be mountain lions, as they are technically endangered on the east coast. not sure if the game considers them endangered though

Around september/october time I left a comment saying how your vids are helping me get through uni and now finishing up my final assessments of the year I can say how true that is. Your videos are such a relaxing end to the week tbh. Love the waterfall in this vid its so pretty! Also the idea of a zoo that gives the animals an enclosure the size they would have naturally would be amazing - maybe you could do some sort of safari kinda thing? I dont have planet zoo so i dont actually know whats possible but that could be cool? Anyways, tysm!!!

I know a lot of zoos are starting use electric vehicles these days. You could consider believing the vehicles might be fueled that way for you zoo. Perhaps put a few solar panels next to one to simulate more environmentally sound use. Same with the other transportation.

To give you an idea of space, 20km2 is actually 20 000 000m2 so the 13000m2 is actually no where near the amount of space they would have in the wild 😂

It’s quite a powerful game so unless it’s a gaming laptop it would struggle to run it probably, it would probably ‘work’ on a laptop though if you don’t mind playing on low graphic settings 😊

You should use the gondola because real zoos use it for transport in irl zoos like Taronga zoo they use it because there are two entrances one on the sea and one on the land the Sydney ferries operates to the sea port but there are not any entrances at the sea one so they use the gondola powered by red energy to the entrance without walking

What are your PC specs? Planet Zoo is a pretty resource-demanding game. You can try closing all other apps/programs while you play and reducing your graphics settings.

@@ariette6847 Like your computers abilities. He probably has a gaming computer built specifically for run taxing games like this. Specifically the CPU and graphics card are causing your game to lag.

@@ariette6847 besides getting a better gaming computer you could probably lower the game graphics and effects. The game will look worse but it would probably allow it to run better. You can make sure no other programs are running on your computer so all you CPU is running the game.

I think you need to fix your income since you went from near $1,000,000 to less than $500,000 dollars after the Indian Elephants were added. The other thing is you need more mechanics to be able to reach all of the solar panels and other amenities.
