- It's preferential. I get it. But here's why I prefer Outemu blue switches over Cherry MX blues. Results will vary.

I also have both Cherry blue and Outemu blue based keyboards, and prefer the feel of the Outemu for the same reasons. The tactility just feels more precise, somehow. Cherry keyswitches have always been overrated compared to common keyswitches of the past anyway (Alps, for example), so it's not really as surprising as it initially seems that knockoffs could improve upon them. It'd be like if Coke went out of business leaving Pepsi the only cola on the market, then a Chinese company made a cola that tasted more like Coke than Pepsi. A lot of people would prefer that Chinese Coke.

I don't understand why people like the loud clicks from these keyboards... I'm a huge fans of silent ones... I like feedback, but you can feedback from the feeling of the keystroke - I don't need sound feedback.

One of the biggest problems in mechanical switch keyboard reviews, revolves around clicky-haters reviewing clicky-switches, clicky-switch keyboards, and doing comparisons of switches. Linear-switch fans far outnumber clicky fans, so we often end up with reviewers who say things like “I personally hate blue switches” while doing switch comparisons. So I appreciate that this guy actually is able to review and compare blues from a positive point of view.

People saying Cherry isn't worth it, remember that Cherry has top-notch build quality. I was like you before as well, but then I bought a cheap-o Kailh click keyboard. Most of its keys went bust in a few months. They started double-tapping, triple-taping, some won't even register. Switched over a Cherry Blue keyboard, nearing 1 year of heavy usage, no issues what so ever. You pay for quality honestly.

My keyboard has Outemu blue switches. I love the tactile feedback. They've been going strong for almost a year now.

My Cherry Blues are LOUD, quite obnoxious really, but they are such a joy to use for typing. I had to go up to my parents' house and use a non-mechanical keyboard for some computer maintenance and it was not a very pleasant experience. It felt like I was typing through mud. You don't really realize how loud these things are until you're playing a quiet game and you're really immersed in the gameplay and then you hear

Outemu blues feel more tactile and "smooth" than cherry. For tactile switches the order is Gateron>Outemu>Cherry>Kailh.
