None of us are righteous, through works, we become righteous when we accept Jesus in our lives because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. However we have to work hard to become holy. That means we have to die to the things of the flesh by taking up our cross daily and following Jesus through the promptings and direction of the Holy Spirit in us. Read psalm 24.3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord, who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.

For the most parts, what we call "paying the price" should have been the norm. I don't see myself as paying "a price" to walk with God. Isn't that what a Christian should be doing in the first place? Walking in fellowship with the father according to 1 John 1:3-7 Let's just be Christ-like - in fellowship with God and in relationships with men. If that's the price, then I am already paying it. It's my normal life. Not all time, I really want to pray, but when I think that the Holy Spirit will be waiting, I drag myself... It's what comes with the relationship

Sin is more than an action. It is a nature. If you have the spirit of God in you, you will know if he wants you to do it or not. Even if other christians do it, the one who guides you, who will receive you on the last day lives in you. If he who is in you is ok with you drinking 2 or even 4 glasses of wine, who am I to tell you it is a sin. Remember, he leads me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake. Be true to him in you and to yourself.
