When your Android isn’t connecting to Wi-Fi, the first thing to do is toggle Wi-Fi off and back on again on your phone. This will sometimes fix a minor software problem. Then, unplug your router and plug it back in to restart it. Restarting your Android could also fix a minor software problem.
Next, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your Android won’t connect to any Wi-Fi networks, there’s an issue with your phone. If your Android only won’t connect to your Wi-Fi network at home, then there’s an issue with your Wi-Fi router. And if your Android says it’s connected to Wi-Fi, but you can’t connect to the internet, there’s likely an issue with your wireless router.
To address an issue with your wireless router, try reseting it. There’s a small reset button on the back of most wireless routers that you can press. If you’re not sure how, contact your router manufacturer.
Turning off your VPN can sometimes fix minor internet connectivity issues.
To fix a deeper software problem, try reseting the network settings on your Android. This resets all of the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Mobile Data settings on your Android, so make sure you write down your Wi-Fi passwords first!

Thank you so much!! I watched one of your other videos but none of those things mentioned, fixed my loss of Internet. I was out and about yesterday and my phone connected to WiFi away from home. Today I watched this video, reset my router and so far it's working...5 minutes. 😊

I seem to be the only person with this issue: My wifi was working very well for a long time, sometimes when it didn't, a simple phone turn off-turn on fixed it. But a few months back it suddenly lost my wifi and I've tried everything here multiple times but it just doesn't find it anymore. My phone connects to other networks without a problem though..

Thanks for this vid, guys. I had tried almost every item on your list, except for #2: unplugging router. Didn't think this could possibly be the problem, because my laptop was connected to my wifi and that was working fine. Well, whaddaya know, it worked! I unplugged the cord from the router unit (instead of from the wall), waited about 30 seconds for dramatic effect, then re-connected. Now my phone is connecting to the wifi just fine.

Was it just your android device, but other devies still connected also? Roku and on demand for my tv service work, just not my android phone anymore. I tried unplugging the router, but still isn't working. I had a tough time connecting to a public wi fi at a business the other day, but it eventually connected. Maybe my phones wi fi is just starting to go bad? its a 91 dollar go phone lol. my iphone when it worked got the wi fi password error also, and I changed wi fi name and password. now it's happening with my android.

@@deadlycreature3359 Yes, only my android phone was not connecting to my wifi. There was no problem with my laptop-wifi connection. Sorry to hear you're still having issues. I have no idea why unplugging/replugging the router worked in my case. Wish I had the answers for you. Hope you figure it out soon.

I tried all the fixes shown but cannot connect to my network. I have 8 devices on my network including 3 cell phones and they all work fine. The one I cannot connect was working fine till a couple days a go. Now I get an "authentication error occurred" when I try to connect to the network. Any other possible suggestion?

I have tried everything you have suggested but it still is not Connecting. Sometimes says disabled and sometimes just says failed to connect. I have had this happen before and then after awhile it just came back on

Unfortunately, none of these fixes worked for me. The problem started when I upgraded my internet modem/router, my older android which is no longer connected with a data service shows that it is connected to my wifi but then displays a message that the android can not connect to the internet using that wifi. It connects to other wifi services and my new phone and other devices connect easily to the same wifi, except for my old laptop which doesn't even recognize the new wifi. Is this just a compatibility issue or can it be fixed somehow?

Isnt it supposed to work with vpn. Sounds like the product you pay for doesnt work correctly and you should get paid for doing their job for them!

oml, thank you beautiful people!!!! i've been facing this problem with my phone for more than a year, and after resetting the network settings it was done. and i knew that it was a problem with my phone because when i'd go to other places the problem would still be there . now the tormenting of my nerves is finished🙏

Something else you didn't suggest was the following - after you've re-started your phone and unplugged the modem, I suggest toggling the wifi off and back on. Once you do that, click down to your wifi name and click on that. That's what I needed to re-connect onto my wifi. Had I known that, I wouldn't have gone all day without wifi on my phone. I have very little data so I basically stayed off my phone all day. I'm glad I didn't have to try the other things you suggested in this video.

I have a very specific issue: it occasionally won't connect to any secured WiFi network (works with open wifis) , but sometimes it fixes itself? I've tried forgetting the WiFi, reseting network settings, even went as far as resetting the entire phone to prevent that from happening and no luck 😭

For a long time, Samsung phones running Android 10 intermittently returned the error, "connected but no internet". Neither of these fixes worked. The problem went away after the device was updated to Android 11.

Thanks for for all the tips. I have tried ALL except "Number 9: Reset Network Settings" But, all to NO avail. On three relatively older devices; Samsung Phone, iPad and older Samsung Tablet ALL could not connect to the Wi-Fi, one asked for authentication. In the end I managed to "ADD" these devices "onto" the Wi-Fi Hub (router) via the 192.168.0 protocol. (via my main PC) I added each device's MAC address connected to bands 2.4 or 5 or both, "onto" the Hub". That worked for me! It seems a convoluted way to do it, but I didn't want to reset everything. Now I have another issue about a Domestic Supplied App, or it's website, that won't work on my OPPO phone. But that's an issue for me now..... (to be continued).....

My router connected my computer to the internet because it was connected with a cable but wasn't connecting to anything wirelessly. Tried all your suggestions to no avail. Apparently there is a little button ontop that turns on the wireless. I simply pressed that button and the wireless turned on.

Brand new android tablet that won’t connect to wifi. I have tried all these suggestions. Everything else works except the tablet. I even had my nephew come over and connect his tablet and it’s works just fine. Even tried a factory reset and still nothing, not even my phone’s hotspot shows up

I’ve got one for you 😉 Every time my iPhone connects to my vehicle “Bluetooth”, the phones stored music always plays. I’ve searched the vehicle media settings and my iPhones settings, I’ve found no auto play feature. I would like it to not play unless I go into my music and select play. HELP 😣😣😣

Very odd day, wifi was kinda out phone and tv - but had ethernet on computer and worked fine. Just had to do a classic plug out and back in and things went back to normal.

My son's android is not connecting to our wifi. It doesn't make any sense, other androids aren't having any issues. I don't want to reset the router and then have two things I have to fix. The set up is also different and very difficult to follow along.

There's a brand new fix that just occurred just now for android where I had to forget my AT&T router network re log in (looked like a new thing and wants to do the web login for some dumb reason suddenly)( it takes you to a blank page) 😮-fix--> and then you have to click the menu button on the top right and it gives you 2 options and I had to choose "use this network as is"😢😢😢❤

The only problem I have and that I've always had is on some networks is asks you to choose an EAP method, and there are freakin 9 to choose from. I choose one and then it asks for a CA certificate but there is nothing available to choose except for 'Don't validate', which doesn't sound very secure, so I simply can't connect to WIFI on these networks (such as at my job). My iPhone doesn't ask me any of that stuff and just asks me for a username and password and simply connects. Why can't my Android phone just do this and not put me through an Android networking class 101 or lots of hoops?

It's simple go to wifi settings of the hotspot phone and go to blacklist wifi devices then remove yours and it's done

The wifi would not work no matter if it was hot spot. I didnt want to completely reset. I decided to take my sim card (from good phone) and place it in this phone having issues. This is how I did the software update. I installed the original sim card the "bad" phone after and it worked. Hope this helps.😊

I turn WiFi off and back on again but then I lose the connection anyhow as soon as I get away from the router. I have other devices that work flawlessly a considerable distance from where the phone I use like a small tablet with a better camera would normally disconnect. It didn't always disconnect too. Maybe when it was dropped once the WiFi antenna cable came loose? I never had it open but I realize that a lot of phones have antenna connections that are similar to or the same as the ones found on WiFi cards. If you ever had to connect an antenna cable to those you realize how tiny they are. Any pictures you may have seen of them anywhere don't show how small they really are!

Might I suggest number 10: changing your WiFi password? Because that did it for me. My old password had been inherited from a different modem and when I tried to connect a new phone it didn’t work :)

I am going to bin my Samsung tab 8. Wasted too much time setting, resetting, forgetting, setting up again ... plus trying loads of supposed fixes. I had a Google Nexus and perfect wifi every time all the time. Now I have a Lenovo tablet and that too just works. In this household Samsung is banned!

none of these are the answer to my problem because i cant turn on my wifi as in like i cant turn on any other or even mine and my wifi is OFF and what i mean by that is that it says my wifi is off and i cant turn it back on. i have to use ethernet and so does my brother on his pc so that means only one of us can be online💢!!
