Learn how to burn ancestor money. It is a way to thank those who came before us for all they did so we can be here today.
While there is a lot of info out there about the burning of ancestor money, also known as Joss Paper, my ancestors and spirit guides gave me more information about the nature of the landscape after we pass on.

This video came about because of the daily reading that I pulled yesterday (link below to that video). The overall message was we, collectively all humans, are looking at money, and the systems of money in a way that is not helping us to move forward with our personal advancement. Thanking those who came before us was a part of releasing some of the negative ways we look at money, our governments, how we interact with money. So today, this video continues the conversation.

Thank you for this work. I used it awhile ago (years) and stopped. Then recently spirit (ancestors) told me to start again. I feel better burn ancestors jade the Emperor money again. I also burn the American bills as I burn the presidents who were slave owners and set up this corrupt economic system and sold our ancestors. Thank you for your beautiful explanation.

Thank you for this video. I went to my alter to give it a clean before tonight’s full moon and decided to take my ancestor money that I have on my alter and burn some. Many poor people sneak out to dig their soils and dig up their treasures. For example, ancient cities such as Xi'an, which built subways and digging wells, can dig up treasures and cultural relics. I have a question I had burn 3 notes at first one for me to work with emperor Jade burn fast and green 2nd note was for my family and I know there was negative energy put on my family There is a Hex On me and my family and for everything to go bad when I burn to help them and remove the bad blood and hex And I felt deadly ill it burn green the 3rd was was for me I have always been spiritually inclined and an empath so it hits me I burned one for myself because I know it affects me after my mom and dad and I have not been feeling well. So after the burning of money I did an egg cleansing and burn incense after the 3rd bill burn green as well.

Hi AngieMusicArt! Thanks for stopping by the channel! :-) The smell of burning Joss Paper is like paper burning. There is a bit of an acrid scent to it which is why it is best to do outside, or near a wide open window. You can burn safely indoors and out, by being mindful. Burn in a container that is non-flammable (a metal pan), use metal tongs, put a pot holder under the metal pan, or an old towel to further protect the surface you are burning upon. Hi Crystal, You can say a prayer that is from a prayer book, a sacred text, or from your heart. However, the sincerity in your heart/soul/being is what is of the utmost importance -- reverence for the ancestors, and for what you're doing. Bless.

falloutgirl902 Ahh. The purpose of a passport is to come & go. What Spirits are you allowing to go back & forth into this world freely? It is not like burning regular joss paper. This is an additional boost you are providing. The only way I would use the passport is to put your name on it for your future use. However, this can be misconstrued by Spirit. So, b4 you do that, you would need to check w/your spiritual family if YOU should do this for yourself. Namaste.

I heard all joss paper is not equal some are strong some are weak when burning joss paper for your Ancestors, when i burn mine i do see greenish blue when burning i guess my Ancestor are receiving them. @@brianlewis9438 Meaning you are seeing the green burn in the paper as you burn it. This is your ancestors speaking. And, you can also sit quietly after the money has burned and you can ask them to speak to you directly as well. We are all mediums, we just have to get more in practice. If you don't use a limb for a long time, it begins to not work very well, right? Same thing here; use it, or lose it.

Is their an eco alternative to burning joss money? I think it’s a beautiful practice but concerned if I’m building up karmic debt by harming the environment… !?!

You will have to come to terms with how you practice. Ask your ancestors how they can accept your love, devotion and offerings.

Alafia Queen. The idea of ancestor money was saved by the Chinese. We have no idea if it originated with the Dravidians who traveled around the world leaving their knowledge. However, feel free to use currency you are familiar with/comfortable with - there are many kinds of ancestor money to use in your rituals. You can ask Mami Wata if she would like you to burn it on her behalf. Or, would she prefer another offering. She may want fruit, honey, crustaceans, milk, coins (foreign coins), and the offerings may need to go to rivers she owns. (I have heard there are rivers in GA that belong to her.) When it comes to deities, goddesses, and other spiritual entities, it is best to inquire as to what they prefer each time. They may want different things at different times. Bless. 🙏🏽

You can offer them some of the ancestors money. You can put their name(s) on it as well. The unused ones should be stored elsewhere.

You can try a different type of Joss paper/ancestor money. Or, the ancestors you are burning to do not accept it. I would try another type of Joss paper. If it still happens, use your preferred divination system to check with that ancestor what offering he/she would prefer. Bless.

Please help I burned money for the first time today and OMG... idk if it’s a coincidence but a couple of things happened in my home n it absolutely warmed my soul while scaring me at the same time. But then tonight I TRIED to burn it and it just WOULDNT light😢 I broke down so bad 😢😢😢did I offend them by getting scared? Why is this happening??

Hello Raven. No worries for you. You are OK. Those instances of amazing things that warmed your heart are your signs/messages from Spirit. It's okay that you could not burn the 2nd time. Perhaps you should sit with your ancestor altar, or the space you have for your spiritual things and light a penny candle. That is communication directly. Peace be with you. Z.

Hi Supa. You can throw ashes away. Best practice is to find out where your ancestors want the ashes to go to pay additional homage to them. You can ask if they can go at the base of a tree, in the ocean, by a wood, etc.

Ivy Wilks Hi Ivy. Yes, I have Ancestor Money in the form of One Thousand Deeds. For me, the burn is very different as they are made of regular paper and have never burned green for me. Please let me know if you know of any ancestor money that is made of similar paper to Joss Paper. Alafia.

I was watching videos to do research and I saw where some say that the asian ancestral money would not be accepted and how they had to use african ancestral money instead . I will be ordered both the asian and the african ancestral money to see what works best !

The one you burn it for, you call their name as you pray for them and you may feel their presence as you burn it. Whether they speak to you, or not, is up to them. But yes, they will hear your communication.
