Back with another Fire Emblem Guessing Game video! Dylan and Adrela get to check out the latest Fire Emblem game, ENGAGE!
If they can correctly name 25/25 characters, they win $50 each.
If they guess the name of the character correctly on their first go, I will let them know it's correct. If they guess incorrectly for that character's art, I won't confirm anything afterwards.

To be fair for them, Engage is the first FE game to go full anime on the designs. Like, full flamboyant, avant-garde, high fashion kind of thing.

Ngl, it’s funny seeing them complain about the designs, and yet were able to figure out so many during the starting round, while also nearly getting Alfred and Yunaka’s in the first try as well.. Lapis in particular I expected them to not get AT ALL, since Lapis are BLUE gemstones. The designs are definitely…bizarre, but they apparently get across a lot of the character’s names and personalities well enough, even with no pre-established knowledge.

I could see it though. Aside from color scheme (which Ivy would've failed as well), Etie looks like a super serious, cold, no nonsense person from her pose and face alone. Pair it with her tiara, I could easily see Ice Queen. In-game though, she's super passionate and a really warm person. I think her pose doesn't do her justice at all (literally where are her abs?). An issue I have with many of these characters.

So many amazing off-handed funny comments in this video, it was great, I really enjoy this series! At times it reminded me of your video with Glitter when you gave your opinions on the designs before we knew much about the characters, for example Dylan and Adrela could see the chef motif as well. It was also interesting to hear opinions on the designs from more outside the fandom, I feel they can be hit or miss but a few really shine like Ivy and Diamant imo.

This whole video just goes to show how weak the designs were in this game. I'd be willing to bet that Adrela and Dylan would actually both do better on a quiz that exclusively used academy designs from 3H, despite how similar they look to each other. It'd be interesting to gauge how much better that game designs characters than engage while using less...fluff. Plus, on top of that, there's exactly 25 students (if you included shez or byleth)

Engage definitely has some of the worst designs in Fire Emblem lol, not to mention the generic awful personalities. Really not a great game from a story perspective 😅At least it had decent maps and gameplay to make up for all the rest that it lacks
