The AQ wasn't the worst. After all, it's BB vs a HJ open. His range is as close to unlimited as it gets. The fact that the K on the turn doesn't give him pause kind of polarizes him to A9, 44 or nothing most of the time. Even A4 will generally be given pause there on that turn. However if he had 44 for a set, most players will wait and make their move on the turn on a completely disconnected board like A94 rainbow. Can't completely fault you there. You knew something was up. He just got lucky in a way you didn't expect.

Jaman it's okay to tell especially new viewers to like and subscribe to your awesome content! But if you want to be humble about it thats ok as I won't be! On another note last week when you pointed out that thing if you want to call it that on that players face I got excited but my emotions soon turned to despair as Amazon said they are fresh out and because of the heavy demand it won't be back in stock until 1st.Q 2030. The bigger question is do you lose more money limping with strong hands or more with betting preflop bets higher with strong hands(AQ off).

In your games what do you normally see from the “blasting” type players when they realize you are calling them light or checking strong hands to trap them? Do they continue with this strategy? Do they try harder to get you back? Or do they stop trying to bully you and play more straightforward against you?

It's an ebb and flow...they get caught, then they slow down, then I get caught, then I slow down...then enough time has passed and one of speeds back up, but all the while other players are forming their images of us by seeing the different hands we are showing down so you have to contend with that too

The problem with analyzing the perception of what your ranges are is, the ridiculous assumption that a tourist rec player is even knows what ranges are.

5-10 in vegas at the wynn is a little different. The average player at 5-10 is more versed than your average 1-3 player.

Don’t feel bad for paying them off. I doubled up an OMC this past Saturday when I thought I got a good river. The cards are irrelevant when the old guys suddenly blast the river for any sizable amount. And we know this, maaaaaaaannn. Just hard to fold sometimes.

Not hard when you logically deduce the action. River bets can polarize because he has to bet with his air for a chance to win and a lot of middling hands would check back for showdown value. Sizing also felt small for a rundown King going for value
