This film is a heritage item from Library and Archives Canada and is only available in French.
Travelogues were created by both the provincial and federal governments to entice visitors and investors to the region. This film, sponsored by the Office du tourisme de la Province de Québec, shows scenes of the City of Québec, Lorette, the Laurentians, and camps for park visitors set up by the Quebec provincial government. It also includes scenes of fly fishing. Interestingly, this film also features industry scenes, such as a hydroelectric dam, a steamship on the Saguenay River and the building of a birch bark canoe. La Normandie n'est pas ''le pays d'origine de la plupart des Canadiens'' comme mentionné ici. Ils sont nombreux à y avoir des ancêtres, c'est même probablement la province française qui a fourni le plus grand nombres de colons, mais il y a une distinction à faire entre la plupart et être nombreux.
