Glad to see your still loving it here.Owning your own home with your own space is one of the best decisions one can make.We are from Miami and think anyone over 25 years of age that is married with kids would do well here.Once you reach that stage in life the slower pace is a welcomed thing IMO.

Moved from Miami a couple of months after you, got our house built as well. I can say it is definitely a difference compared to back home. You hit everything on the head. I’m a medical courier and I have to drive back and forth to Fort Lauderdale. That drive ain’t nothing to play with lol

Insurance, Insurance, Insurance has gone way up and companies are leaving FL. I own property in the Villages and the increases $$$ are huge .. Correct me if I’m wrong, PSL has the highest taxes.. This is my biggest concern, the cost to live there is rising.. *I like the shade canopy over the patio! 👍.

I’m giving up on the Florida experiment after 16 months. Selling my 14 month old new build house, 2600 sq’, 5 br. I’m in the Panhandle, so maybe that’s why I hate it. Moving to Japan in July for a year, to regain the feeling of a civilized community.
