Wish I could get my hands on one of these dolls!!!

In short, NO, the extra clothing detail is NOT worth $1500 more. Lmao

Some have complained about the TOTS but watching this video I see very minor differences. The biggest thing is the absence of the voice box with the TOTS brand. I know Garrett and he's a cool guy but in my honest opinion while the independent version is obviously and in majority of the cases always better I don't feel the minor differences constitute paying 4X as much for the doll. Now if it had a metallic skeletal animatronic body then sure $2000 at a minimum all day. But for things like a better hair cut and thicker nicer clothes being the main differences I'm not seeing it.

He’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve always wanted one of these even as a small kid. Horror is my life and so are these films. Way too expensive though..

I honestly prefer the trick or treat studios one. I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I think the face looks better. I also subbed. It’s something I’ve wanted since it was very first announced, but i’m as broke as my right arm.

I'm surprised that you criticised the stitching in the middle of the TOTS doll because Chucky actually has that in the movies.

Honestly both look amazing in my opinion, thought I have to agree with you when comparing the quality of the clothing. But I guess that’s just a minor difference that has to be done for the mass produced one. It’s either quality over quantity or quantity over quality, that aside I do think the TOTS one is great for its price. Definitely one of the most screen accurate Chucky dolls I’ve seen in that price range. I hope to own a Chucky doll one day.

Garrett Zima definitely did an amazing job with the extra details on the long sleeve and overalls, and man that voice box! I wish TOTS capitalized on giving the Chucky doll the catchy liners we've all grown to love and appreciate.

I always had this curiosity about the anatomy of the doll because Chucky is always floppy when people move him in the film but in child’s play 2, the factory shows entirely plastic dolls🤔 I love the hair on the custom doll .

I remember being so scared of Chucky and the Child’s Play series as a kid. I would cry just by the sound of his name or his maniacal laugh, and now I’m 21 years old and OBSESSED with him. He’s become my favorite horror franchise and having this doll would mean the world plus scare the crap out of my roommates haha

They’re honestly both amazing in their own ways! I can’t decide on which head I prefer but I like the Garrett Zima outfit more! Garrett Zima's is hands down the best one. Looks just like the movie.

I don’t know if it’s just me but the custom made one looks closer to the original movie version while ToTS looks more like the Child’s Play 2 Good Guy doll design. I like them both equally.

Love the video mate. I've wanted a Good Guy doll for a long 25 years and cannot believe they're finally getting mass produced at an affordable cost. In saying that, with a young family of 4 now the timing could not be worst and I can't afford the almost $1000 AU after shipping for the childhood dream I've held onto. I wish tots had the animatronic eyes that's what makes it look distinguished with Zimas custom build rather than being disappointed at minor details on the clothes.

How much did they pay you to say "trick or treat studios " every 30 seconds?

The custom ones body should be made with a hard plastic torso with a double deep battery compartment, so when you pop open the cover you won't see the batteries. The real compartment would be found underneath that compartment instead. Would be a great way to scare people.

Garrett Zima Custom look amazing! I got the trick or treat studios one, i love it. But the face on the Custom one is prefect. Looks just like in the one from the movie.

I like the TOTS body better, but the head is definitely better on G.Zima one - it's more accurate. The TOTS one's eyes are a bit too small, and the haircut is uneven and too short, the hairline is too low. But for $500 it's the best you could get, I guess.

Anything that deviates from the original even in the slightest just loses the magic. Same for all the angry looking dolls. The hand made one is absolutely amazing! It's the first one I've seen that has the same manic look in his eyes like the original in the movie. Good to know it's possible to get an actual Good Guy, even though it's not cheap.

As an archivist and private collector I’d love to drop a hint I’ve learned after 16 years doing this expensive, but rewarding hobby: If something, anything is “mass produced” then proceed cautiously. Wait, watch videos like these to get an idea of what you’re getting. Many times the quality-like masks-rot or brown quickly. Doesn’t always happen but it’s been known to happen. Private companies usually make higher quality stuff. Get to know the person or company you’re buying from as well. I’ve followed these rules (a few of many rules) and have no regrets. The hand made doll is modeled after the First film while the TOTS one was modeled after the second film that's why the clothes were different and eyes looked differently and other stuff

I think the TOTs Good Guy doll looks overall better. However, I do like the little more attention with some of the smaller details on the handmade one. Like the look of the eyes and the look of the overalls.

@PB< What's your opinion on the foam of the TOTS doll? I saw another review where the guy said he was afraid the foam wouldn't last or might deteriorate over time. You think that could happen? Or do you think these dolls should last a long while? I'm not too sure how well the foam holds up over time. I hope it doesn't rot or anything!

In my opinion, I like the Garett Zima one better. The plastic looks more shiny like the one in child's play 1. The only thing I don't like about it compared to the TOT one is the hair.

in march of last year i bought a kickstarter trick or treat studios good guy doll i sleep with it every night and whenever i fall asleep i always dream of my good guy doll stabbing and killing me in my dreams he cuts me up with his knife just like chucky doe's to all of the people in all 7 original chucky movies when morning comes i just cannot wait for night to come so i can keep dreaming of my good guy doll cutting me up i enjoy it so much.
