Great, very informative. Lots of professionalism to take onboard there, surprised the seat safety pins were removed whilst still under the shed though!

It’s not a 0,0 seat, so you’d be up sh!t creek anyway

@jpicard yes this has been cleared for public release by 2FTS. Pilots that are between BFTS and 2FTS can use it to maintain their skills.

@IIproductionsII You can learn them all in a day using mock-ups called cockpit procedural trainers pretty comfortably, but you need to invest a lot more time to make sure you can pull them out under pressure. I like to go through them every morning to keep it fresh.

@RHINOneSeven This is used coursework, and still currently is. I did the same for 79 SQN Hawks. Its part of many clips used for pilot training.

@jpicard That was you who filmed this? If so, beautifully shot - very comprehensive and I'm sure its not easy to get such great footage whilst actually carrying out the checks yourself. Was this used for 2FTS coursework or purely for your own collection?

Thanks. It’s my footage and it took a few goes to get a god take 😊

@aussiepride2005 best asking the official channels if they want to post that. I do not have that authority.

great ,entertaining video & excellent basis for a video tutorial.However.. as I once said to somebody else,of similar production,is it 'too much(freely available) information'?..back in 89,two young blokes from Lucknow near Orange attempted to take the Electricity Commission Jetranger for a joyride with fatal results for one of them after[allegedly] watching a movie somehow showing start sequence for the jetranger. Maybe iclude a footnote "NOT TO REPLACE ADEQUATE FLIGHT INSTRUCTION!"

Indeed you would be correct in what you are saying if that was the case but in all honesty I don't go around digging up year old comments just for 'correcting' someone. I just happen to be on the page at the time & thought I'd comment..I am entitled to do that aren't I ?... I'm not really going to lose any sleep whether they read my comment or not....cheers

you are aware that the pc9 is NOT the only aircraft inthe world with a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-62 engine in it & having worked on them I'm fully aware of the security measures employed at military & civilian contract bases...by all this I'm saying that there are aircraft out there that use similar starting procedures & operational parameters so it doesn't need to be a military base for what you're saying to happen..& there are people out there foolish enough to do it..just my thoughts
