fun fact that nobody cares about and also nobody asked for: a dead man's hand is a set of cards consisting only of the ace of spades, the ace of clubs, the eight of spades and the eight of clubs. it was called a dead man's hand because these cards were held by James "Wild Bill" Hickok when he was shot in the back of the head and killed. disturbing, i know.

Hey, that is a fun fact! I had always assumed that "dead man's hand" was just a nickname for the very best poker hand (a, uh....royal flush, I....think....I don't know very much about poker) because if you got it (or more than once in a sitting, anyway) people would assume you were cheating and....yeah.
