During season 2 & 3, I became a big fan and stayed loyal thru the end. My favorite PM serial drama of all-time. Michele Lee was the bomb!!!!! Loved that Karen Fairgate McKenzie.

The storyline for #2 is another example of Knots Landing full circle storylines. Remember that Valene had spent YEARS hiding from J.R.; especially whenever she would sneak into Dallas to see Lucy. She was a pro at being on the run and hiding. So the idea of her being kidnapped, escaping, and hiding out actually made sense.

IMO, the number one moment was Abby and Val's showdown: "I'm not saying I'm having an affair with Garry, and I'm not saying I'm not; I AM saying that I can have him any time I want." .... SLAP!

I enjoyed your list. Another good moment that I'll always remember, is Greg breaking down after viewing Laura's tape (after her death). William Devane is a wonderful actor and this scene was emmy worthy in my opinion.

Olivia's drug addiction was my favorite Abby storyline and Donna Mills said it was hers too. So real and powerful

The scene with Karen saying goodbye to Sid was actually Michelle Lee saying goodbye to her husband James Farentino who she was divorcing at the time.

Knots Landing had so many great moments, it is hard to pick just one as the best. I simply loved Knots Landing!! The cast and crew were awesome!

Great effort in assembling and posting, thank you! My #1 moment didn't make your top 10 though : Abby burying Peter Hollister's body. The whole season finale that year in May 1987 was an incredible hour of excellent writing and acting!

Also.......when Val wakes up at the hospital after her overdose from Jill. Gary moves to the side to reveal Jill standing there. When Val sees her, she completely wigs out. Also, and I can't remember the storyline, but Gary is "dead" and is in an ambulance at his ranch. Mack is there and Val drives up and walks to the ambulance. She realizes Gary's in there and when Mack tries to pull her away, Val goes balistic. Van Ark's performance here if almost "frightening" to watch.

Great choices.... and it's hart to pick a top 5 from 14 seasons. In number 2... oh my gosh... I get chills every time. Having loved them together from the first time I saw them together, this is spellbinding and goose-bumpy for me. The way Gary says "cooommmme home" and Val catches her breath when she looks at him. That's the heart of the whole series to me. Thank you for cherishing it, too.

I agree with #1. But I hoped it might be when Gary & Val got together towards the end of the show. Thanks for bringing back some great memories! They have to release seasons 3-10 at least on DVD so I can stop surfing KZfaq for snippets of my favorite episodes!!!!!

This was my show back then and I grew up to it about 10 when it started in 1979! I couldn't avoid this show since EVERY female in my family watched it! By 14 i was dedicated too! LOL

Karen's storyline of her addiction to painkillers was pretty good in my opinion. She was very convincing. I loved how Mack found Karen unconcious in the shower after almost overdosing. I wish somebody would load that clip on youtube.

That must be where I got the idea to take my daughters door off when her grades were bad. Hahaha

#5 is amazing! Gary did that with conviction even as a drunk..#4 was just great writing and great acting! #3: Abby going crazy to save her baby! #2 Classic Knots...Val was gone for a year...but boom! She's back! # 1: Oooh...that moment made me want to cry so bad! I have to say that Knots had so many wonderful moments that you can't count them all! Esp when everyone thought Gary was killed by a Wolfbridge assassin! Olivia wanting the car, Karen and Val's fight after Laura's funeral

Watching clips and reading comments, I am so jealous of the people that could watch this. I really wish someone would point out a way to get this series somewhere. All these youtube clips had to come from somewhere.

Good episodes where Phil kiddnapped Karen . I liked how Greg figured it out and then saved her when he wanted to chop the door of barn down . But mistake letting him go . When he blackmailed he was suppose to pass him to cops .

Do you have actual full episodes of Knots Landing it would be great to see them if you do, cant find any proper episodes in order and no one seems to have posted anywhere season 10, 13 or 14 just bits of clips in a foreign language. This would be great if you have them but if not we shall take what we can get, cant believe season 3 to 14 has never had a dvd release which is such a shame their are people who prefer this drama to the rubbish we get today!

KL did a great job fooling everybody into thinking that Val died in that car wreck when she was kidnapped. Never in a million years would I have expected her to return at the end of the season. Karen's prescription drug addiction should've made the list as well.

Its hard to choose ten when there were so many good moments from 14 years of amzing writing actors and actresses. I never missed one show. Still miss it today. IMO however somewhere atleast in the top 5 should be when Abby was looking in Bens computer and reads a letter he wrote to Val -and it says he don't know if he can ever get over the fact that GARY is the father of the twins. I believe this was season 6-It shows Abbys face in the screen of the computer-shock disbelief hurt mad and steamed. She knew they could take her fortune-this is when the plot gets deep and the storyline got heavy with the kidnapping and all-it was a powerful scene when she found this out. Another great one was when Val thought Gary had died and she was 8 months pregnant with his twins and he was in an ambulance-her acting in this is problably the best acting ive ever seen by anyone-I believe it was season 4 -maybe 5? But I mean it was truly amazing acting. Does anyone agree with me and remember these?

@pdlbean KL had so many wonderful little moments, they always packed a lot of small gems in with each episode, so random things will just come back to you. Another I loved was when a drunk Jill "accidentally" hit Paige with her purse, containing an urn filled-with Peter's ashes.

@CarlD2 Wow! Some moments that I hadn't thought of and forgot...I never saw the one where Laura drives off and the scene with karen and abby was amazing! Great writing and great acting put together! I never saw the one where Eric slapped Diana and Greg trying to see Abby w/o makeup was futile! lol

Great clips. But I thought one of the all time best moments on the show was when Jill help Val at gunpoint and forced her to take all those sleeping pills. Those episodes had me on the edge of my seat.

I think the episodes with Olivia on drugs are my favorites. It really shows Abby while she isn't in control like she normally is. She is just a real person in these episodes.

I loved the way Valene and Abby returned and smack into the middle of a storyline they'd both been connected too even offscreen for the whole season. Only KL could've allowed such irony and gotten away with it. How I miss this show.

Some great scenes here that I haven't seen elsewhere. I appreciate them a lot, some of this is often forgotten. I was wondering if you had the scenes where Laura drove off to die alone; where Ciji sang and Karen, who'd just old Mack they couldn't be together, wept; where Karen kissed Abby on the forehead after Abby gave a kidney to Diana; where Eric slapped Diana; where Greg tried to see Abby without any makeup on.

The best TV series EVER! Like your picks but you really did blow it. How could you not include Val's reaction when the doctor told her the babies were stillborn? How 'bout when Abby was trying to bury Peter Hollister -- a riot! And anything from my absolute favortie storyline -- Jill's descent into madness. When she breaks into Val's house and holds her at gunpoint to take the pills, Swallow Val, swallow. I can't without water. Beyound amazing.

i would say the only 2 that should be on this list are wolf bridge cliffhanger and abby breaking down the door. what about val slapping abby in "china dolls" and cliffhanger from "the long and winding road" and greg watching laura's video to him in "noises everywhere?"

Great show the valene thing was too much so much Val all else about the show WAS interesting to watch

I hated the way the show ended as far as bringing back Val, so much of it was unbelievable and far fetched. But this scene with Ted and Joan shows how well connected they were to each other, and how they showed up for the scene, despite the cracked storyline.

I would've put the scene from Olivia's drug story when Abby's eyes widen at the realisation that Brian's in danger because he doesn't have the money and Abby turns and bolts from the house to rescue him.

#2 really threw me for a loop when i first saw it. I really thought Val died in that car accident w/ her kidnapper.

Ole Crazy Val was ALWAYS in a pickle or some overly dramatic storyline. I swear I don't remember her laughing too much; just a lot of screaming and crying on the TV over some kidnapping, almost murder, alcohol, adultery or addiction! LBVS

My knots moments would be in no particular order: Sid's death Val's confrontation with Abby Gary' being a suspect of Ciji's murder Laura's funeral Val loses the babies Peter's sudden death Lilimae runs over Chip Sumner's mother comes to town Paige and Sumner play crochet Joshua's fall.

I guess the scene with Paige in the lingerie getting in to Greg's bed was only in the guy's top ten list then.. ;-)

My favorite moments were Abby moments: -When Val slapped her for having an affair with Gary. -When she realized that her people stole Val's twins. -When she buried Peter to protect Olivia. -When she rated Paige a 6 on the Abby Scale. -When she blackmailed Greg to sell his company. -When she moved back in the neighborhood. (Just like old times)

get her abby!! that is the only time I liked her in the show she was a momma bear even though she is to blame for her daughter being a fiend evil mother and all that even if she was great with her kids she was too money and power hungry and her kids was nice it had to hurt having a mother who was a creep to everyone except them

I totally disagree with this list. the Karen moments were boring, she keeps yelling all the time. And where are the Sid dying moments? The Gary in rehab? Gary cheating on Val with Abby? The Richard pointing a gun at Laura? Richard disappearing? Gary finding Val inTN? Val's babies returning? Laura stealing Greg from Abby? etc etc lots of better moments than those listed here IMO.

Kinda of sick of Val's twins in everything. It was great and all but damn, the show ran long enough to rack up more moments. I loved the death of Danny Welska. You thought maybe Gary killed him, but no.....
