What oil do you prefer for the lamps? I am so sensitive to odors. I am using a clean/odorless/sootless/biodegradable one now that is doing ok but I'm wondering if there is something even better. Thank you!

Your videos has inspired me to learn to be self sufficient this year, I live in a rural cottage that mom left me, I use to hate this place but watching made really appreciate what I am blessed with. Moving forward I plan to plant seeds, tend to it, nurture it and watch it grow and document my growth . You have been a great inspiration to me and If i can be even half as self sufficient as you are by the end of this year, then I certainly achieved my goal

Enjoying peaceful quiet at home is a treasure, as my 2 cats will be 17 this fall, all I want is to be home with them as much as possible, knowing this stage in my life with them will be drawing to a close! I have had them since they were 2 months old. God knew I needed them! I am so grateful for them!

I know how you feel. I went thru that with our cat and then two years later, our Labrador. I knew, with each one, that their time was drawing near and I spent as much time with them as possible. I don't regret it one bit. In fact, I wish I'd spent even more time with them than I did. We live within walking distance to the beach and this past summer I never went once. I couldn't leave my sweet girl ( the Labrador ). I snuggled with her on our bed and we took naps together and it was so special. We lost her in August. Enjoy every last precious moment with your fur babies. They are such beautiful treasures in our lives.

@@LittleHouseOnTheMountain Trying our best. ❤️ Finally got our power back after 30 hours without (minus a 1.5 hr planned rolling blackout last night). Now we have no running water currently. Abba has been good to keep us safe thus far. We do have two young children and two dogs I worry about though.

I enjoy the shots of you picking the eggs out of your egg basket. I love the colors which are displayed in the basket. Can you share with me what type of chickens or hens that you have that lay those particular type of eggs with such beautiful colors?

The 2 big fluffy chickens with the laced feathers are Wyandottes and they lay tan eggs, the amerucana lays a robins blue egg, the olive egger lays an olive green egg, the maran amerucana mixes (easter eggers) lay shades of mint, blue, and green, the salmon faverolle lays a small blush cream colored egg, and the black copper marans like a chocolate colored egg

Lea, this might seem an odd question, but though i live in Australia and eucalyptus abounds, i've never dried nor used the gum tree for brewing as a tea infusion. If that is what you use it for and not for cleaning purposes what method do you use please? Do you pop them airdried in a blender for a few pulses? Much love beautiful sister. I used it as a tea for allergy season. I just allow it to steep in hot water or I will simmer it on the stove to release the small in the air
