Remember guys, Shigeru Miyamoto the dad of these characters. Peach has always be the first bad ass princess and icon since the early video games. She was first started in Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3, super princess peach, 3d world, + the rabbids and now the Movie. Shigeru Miyamoto had back in the days a limit so he can't do it on how he 100% really wanted with Peach. the Movie is a story teller of How Peach and Mario come together.

Honestly, I don’t get why lots of people didn’t like Peach in this. They say “Peach is supposed to be the damsel in distress.” Yes, in the games. This is a movie, they needed to give her more than that. Plus, Luigi was a far better choice to be the one needing saving, because Mario has a very special relationship with him, whereas Peach he hadn’t even met yet. Granted, I would’ve appreciated more Luigi, but keep in mind there’s still so much they’re going to do with the Mario cinematic universe. Possibly including a Luigi’s Mansion movie as well.

While I'm not the biggest fan of Peach being a "girl boss!!", I cannot begin to tell you how refreshing it is to see a strong female character being nice and helpful towards the male lead, instead of treating him like shit for the unforgivable crime of having a penis.

Her being a badass was just one of the greatest things of this movie. I hope she becomes like that again in the second movie.

The first statue was that of Princess Peach, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. With her signature pink dress and golden crown, she was known for her kindness and compassion towards her people. Her statue showed her with a gentle smile and one hand raised, as if to greet those who came to visit her.

I consider this and PPS! Peach to be the best versions of Princess Peach. In Mario lore, Peach is one of the original seven star children destined for greatness. Peach lives up to that lore by fighting back against Bowser's minions, and while she DOES surrender to him, she does so to avoid unnecessary sacrifices (much like how Zelda surrendered to Zant in Twilight Princess). She's also the one that accompanied Mario in his quest to rescue Luigi (a role usually filled by Luigi/Tippi/Huey/etc).
