Just got these used and I have to say, these are amazing for what they are. Great desk speakers with amazing bass and clarity. Will these replace your home theatre system, nope. But for desk speakers where space is a premium, these are hard to beat. Make sure you use some isolation pads, they really help the bass.

M24 is a bolt action sniper rifle which is based on Remington model 700 chambered in 7.62x51 NATO round.

The M25 is better in my opinion. I have them on stands from the Audioengine A2+ on my 6 ft. desktop and I also use a cheap Polk sub which I purchased used and the sound is just excellent! Oh, and the Bamboo doesn't suck. It's beautiful, well done and no god damn finger prints!

7:20 "Why not just use 1 LED that changes color?" Because good HFE (Human Factors Engineering) practices say we should never use color only to display information. I own 2 sets of these speakers and can not tell the difference in the color of the LEDs at all. I rely on the position of the LED or the fact that it's flashing.

Which ones are better for more quite listening? It is obvious that people are interested in how speakers can play loud. However, I'm more interested how they perform when you listen to music while you are working or having dinner and so forth - in which case you mostly turn the volume down.

I have the M25's in bamboo and enjoy them a lot. I found the bass to be very disappointing though, and I'm no basshead, so I did get an Infinity reference sub and now these have been my favorite desktop speakers that I have had. Glad to see that you like the M24's, but I'd still greatly enjoy if you were to review the M25'.s

none of the small monitors are going to really offer massive bass response, I keep telling people that, and I sold pro. audio years ago for several years retail. You have to end up with a 2.1 system with a really good quality powered subwoofer, or forget it, if you want a lot of bass. That's if the monitors and/or your outboard amp. (and why since these are powered monitors) supports adding a powered subwoofer. Really, you're better off investing in a better integrated amplifier/receiver or combo, and add passive bookshelfs, or monitors, and a good powered subwoofer to that. I'm talking a Marantz amp, Mcintosh, with a separate preamp, a good pair of Infinity or Paradigms, and the subwoofer. Then you'll have a real system that you can throw anything at. A home theater setup is really a whole other animal, because you're not generally using that for sheer music listening, or more often for movies or other sources. And most home theater in a box systems have an ok subwoofer, but nothing great. Unless it's Klipsch or whatever.

I purchased 2 pair of these at the 2016 RMAF show (they came in April 2017). I used one pair to replace a set of B&W M-1 ($500/pair) on my desk. the M24s are MUCH better. I've heard better desktop speakers than these, but they all have AMT or ribbon tweeters and cost more than $1000 a pair. I agree that they have good bass for their size, but I use them with a Velodyne subwoofer anyway. FWIW - we got them for $400 for 2 pair during the show :)
