I'm glad the feedback for the standing chest press was heard and addressed. This is definitely how things should be done for all strongman comps.

Seeing Brian with this kind of aggression makes me think back to his run in to win his first WSM. Prime time B Shaw. I love it. What a brand and competition he's building.

I'm glad you found that discrepancy with the Bench Press. Had another fan try to argue that you wouldn't realize the weight difference, and that you were going to be unfair with this event because it benefits certain athletes. Glad to see you nailed the solution as I had forseen!

Thanks Brian, I had a real concern about how you were going to deal with the leverages especially at different handle heights I know I commented on this at least a few weeks ago, glad you found a good way to mitigate the issues with the standing chest press.

Wow! Absolutely fantastic! You're looking really strong, and the issues from before don't seem to be sticking around. I'm an intermediate lifter, you're the GOAT, I won't tell you how to do this, but remember to have confidence in yourself, if you ever feel disappointed. Not every workout is a rock star workout, but these ones sure seemed to be! A ~600 lb bench in the hands (at the top range of what the competitors can do for sure), a 1050 lb hummer tyre deadlift, and that STONE RUN!!! WOW! So fast! No wasted time! Even that last stone was great even though it wasn't in the one-motion category. You're almost done peaking. The show is coming up - enjoy it! I have faith in you. No WSM show has changed that. But even if it were to be the worst possible contest day, we'd all still be proud of you. Thank you so much, Brian! From another member of the "Br-name gang", you really make this world a better place! 💖

The context that the standing press issue creates is amazing. Brian makes the 'base' weight look easy to press, James, who's a monster compared to most human beings, struggled to get it up!

Just a thought. Why not calibrate each handle level to be the same weight at the handles. So what ever handle the strongman chooses you know how much weight to load to make all handle levels the same weight at the handle, but different weights actually loaded. If that makes sense.

You know what'd be a fun strongman competition idea, like a theme, how bout a criminal theme... you break into a vault maybe pull the door off, you carry an atm machine, then throw the suitcase of evidence. I heard money is heavy what about throwing a big bag of money? Anyway idk if challenges are themed but that sounded like a fun variation

Hoping the chest press solution can create a solid foundation for athletes. If the mats are squishy underfoot it could cause some concern.
