The awesome new Wilwood 6 piston setup with their 12.1" drilled & slotted rotors finally arrived and two weeks out before the Hot Rod Power Tour I'm getting them bolted on! These will require minimum 15" wheels, my Mustang has 16" American Racing wheels and they fit great. In a previous video I detailed the Wilwood dual bowl master cylinder with proportioning valve install. Next will be plumbing the new brake lines.

I agree 💯 percent most of the videos on how too on u tube don't show the problems you can run into .but you got it good job

I didn’t film the passenger side but ran into even more issues getting the backing plate off. Had to weld some of those studs to the plate to be able to get the nuts off the back. Then the backing plate was stuck good onto the spindle. Took a while of beating the crap out of it to get off

I have a Wilwood kit ( WIL-140-11072-DR ) with those same brackets or very similar brackets as they look identical on a 66 original drum V8 car and the bracket would not mount facing forward like that but mounted with the caliper mount facing the rear of the car. I noticed a lot of Classic mustang calipers facing the rear. Anyone know why some of these brackets mount caliper facing forward towards the front of the car and why some mount the caliper facing the rear of the car?

Interesting not sure why, I just followed the instructions for this particular kit, maybe has to do with different size calipers- 2,4,6 piston for example and the available space to clear everything?

After waiting for weeks in back order I ended up canceling and checking eBay and I found a seller who owned a speed shop and had a few sets left he was selling. All brand new stuff. You kit t get lucky checking eBay to see if you can find a set like that. I also saved like 1 or 200 bucks compared to the online place I was going through.
