Bro Tommy is mentally ill from the war and actually wants to keep going to war, it ain't about ego, gaining wealth, or family for Tommy. He is more so to blame for his families current situation than anyone else, still love him but he is clearly involved in criminality because of the occasional wars it provides.

@@user-ft5xh4tc8l Thing is, most of the family agreed to take part in it. As he said, they all took king's shilling, over and over again. If you can remember, most of the bad stuff that happened to them wasn't because of Tommy's schemes and plans, but because somebody in the family messed up and didn't listem to Tommy. John's death is the best example of it. Michael's actions in New York and what happens after - another example. You can write an entire article just naming all the times Arthus messed up. I'd say Polly is the least problematic one, but some things backfired for her too, like personally killing Campbell, for example. The bottom line is that nobody forced them to stck with Tommy. At some point they all had enough money to leave and never look back. But nobody did.

@@digre3z "You took the King's Shilling" makes me remember his scene with Linda and how she negotiates with Tommy about how much Arthur will be paid. She was fine bending if it meant more money. I can see the defeat on his face when the girls come together for there "And me" when Polly mentions different business strategy. He must be like "You still don't get it, do you". Polly liked playing the part of a lady of the higher life. Esme was stealing or tried to steal money for snow. Lizzie learnt a useful skill in typing, bless her.

@27:20 the lighting is superb.. u can see the light reflection on tommys glasses lines up perfeclty for a split second with his eyes and when you stop it looks like his eyes are burning in a devilish way. no way that was coincidence while filming.. michael poked the “devil” and he found out 🔥

It’s still wild to me that Mosley and Finnick from the hunger games are played by the same actor. Edit: that scene with Tommy and Charles towards the end is also one of my favorite. Cause he says that Tommy isn’t god and just a bit after he runs off Tommy says “no, i’m not god…..not yet”. Then shows the people sent to kill the reporter as if he is godlike and his will always triumphs over whatever opposes it.

I used to go jogging through The LICKEY HILLS when I was in College in Birmingham! People don't realise that The LICKEY Hills provided J.R.R Tolkien. With the Inspiration for Lord of Rings!! The place is full of deep forest, eerie woods, hills, views, winding forest paths etc. It's hard to describe how ancient the place feels unless you've been there! Imagine a real life landscape from Lord of The Rings / Game of Thrones! That's what some areas of The LICKEY Hills looks and feels like! I've been through areas of EPPING Forest in London both day and night, which is a vast Forest area....but The LICKEY Hills feels very very different, to me it felt very ancient, strange,and mystical! It was only later I discovered from a Professor of Literature that J.R.R.Tolkein used to walk on the LICKEY Hills and through the forest!! And according to this particular Professor, that's were the story of Lord of The Rings originates from......ideas percolating in the mind of Tolkien on his Hills/Forest solitary walks......I'm convinced of this as that's what it felt like to me when I jogging there ......a strange eerie and sometimes scary forest if you are alone! 😮

Anja Taylor Joy! Michael's girlfriend, from The Queen's Gambit (Brilliant Netflix Chess Drama!), and now FURIOSA: A Mad Max Story. But her first lead solo role was MORGAN! Brilliant movie about a girl with strange power kept in a room in an isolated secure facility! You can guess what happens!! Bit like Ex-Machina! But a real person rather than an A.I robot. The atmosphere gets pretty dark and depressing over these two seasons, which makes them harder to 'enjoy' in the way we've enjoyed previous seasons - but I feel it's necessary to give the finale in season 6 the emotional weight that it carries. Without spoilers best not to go further, suffice to say, they are best known for The Battle of Cable Street in 1936, really the overwhelming response in the UK to a bunch of people marching around in fake military uniforms was derision. Honestly I think season 5 is a little underrated, here in the UK it felt like people were already a bit bored of PB by season 5 but honestly its only season 6 that I didn't enjoy that much.

Nah its because the cinematography became too stylized. And like pretty much everything else on TV the plot became 'woke'. If you compare this episode to the previous one you can tell the drop in quality, especially in the dialogue
