Today's cooking activity at Early Wings Preschool featured making peanut masala with ingredients like onion, tomato, green chili, salt, red chili, lemon, jeera powder, ajwain powder, dry ginger powder, and freshly plucked curry leaves from our school garden. The children actively engage in identifying the vitamins in each vegetable using classroom wall charts, showcasing their enthusiasm for learning about the nutritional benefits. They were particularly excited to search for the vitamins and understand their health benefits. This hands-on, non-fire recipe not only taught them about nutritious food but also encouraged them to eat every ingredient, including the curry leaves.
Our educational methods at Early Wings Preschool emphasize practical, experiential learning. By involving children in food preparation, we foster a positive relationship with healthy eating and enhance their understanding of nutrition. The joy and eagerness the children showed, asking for multiple servings, reflect the success of our approach in making learning fun and impactful.
