Mini project: Today take a photo of somewhere in your daily life and create a picture from that slice of your life. I could be a parking lot or a view out the window of rooftops and bricks but it is your slice of life. Think of what caught your eye and think of time of day when lights turn on or people become active. Have fun with it and don't stress.

Really beautiful painting!! I love them :") the lace postcards are really unique too, i feel like they would be beautiful to be put on windows or electric candle so the lights would cast some intricate shadow on the walls and it looks like the watercolor are so opaque too so the lights won't seep through..

Just love these customizable pigments you have! Just a PSA for anyone who wants to try these paints but has a shallow wallet like me. I've purchased those exact watercolours from Amazon Japan and from stores like Sekaido when I lived in Japan for a fraction of what choosing keeping charges. You can also find the brand of pigments they sell for better prices through pigment tokyo. Clearly there are reasons why they charge so much, as seen in the careful presentation of their products and if you consider that they also have to import the products and then sell them. However if you aren't able to afford the choosing keeping prices, but still want to try the paints they're usually called nihonga sumi-e paints from the brand 吉祥 (kissho). They also make THE BEST metallic/pearlescent paints I have ever used so I really recommend them. They're really opaque and they mix well with other mediums like ink! I've also used artist grade paints like DaVinci brand and find these are so much more worth it for the price.

How many pans do you tend to get out of one vial of these watercolor pigments? It's so beautiful in the different forms. From the dried crumbles in the vial, mixing in the binders, the mulling, going into the pans, the drying of the pans, and then finally to paper, every little bit gives these pigments such an amazing life.
