Mia Goth has a God given talent. That monologue was one of the best I've ever experienced on the silver screen. By the way the extended smiling at the end was originally not in the scripts. It was a spontaneous idea of Mia and apparently the crew liked it, and somehow it crowned the whole movie. I mean there is a distinctive kind of black humour in this movie and that awkwardly long smile perfectly fits that atmosphere.

Great movie! Mia Goth is absolutely amazing! 🤩 I had the same questions at the end. I would love to know what happened from the end of this one to the beginning of X. There’s like a whole other movie in there, maybe more. I’m definitely looking forward to Maxxxine and I’m dying to know what genre of horror that’s going to be. X was mostly a slasher, Pearl was more a character study like Psycho. I’m hoping it’s supernatural this time. Something that explores how Maxine is Pearl’s doppelgänger🤔 Anyway you guys are fun! What I love about this film and other A24 films is that even when they are predictable they get unsettling and uncomfortable down 1000%

I just love all of the wizard of oz references and parallels Very creative and good movie🤌 And also as a german guy I have to admit the german parts in this movie aren't even that bad in comparison to other movies lol

I have a crazy prediction and I haven't heard or seen anything to support this; what if Maxxxine and Pearl are related somehow and thats why they look so much alike? Maye the baby Pearl thought was dead never died and a nurse/doctor got a hint of Pearl's illness and decided to hide them away.

also you should dive into Deathproof by Tarentino. Now yes the film is a bit lengthy but there are 7! different runtimes to accommodate your schedule. you guys would definitely love the second half of the film

can u guys watch Orphan? the 2nd movie is Orphan: first kill. they r connected stories. its horror, thriller.

This movie reminds me of modern society with young people(gen z) obsessed with influencer/hookup culture and social media. They want the same affection and attention as these "perfect" people with hour glass bodies, healthy diet, makeup accessories, onlyfans, but feel like they're not good enough to be popular.

This looks more like a 1940’s movie cause of the way of its editing

Good movie, hadn't seen much of Mia Goth,but she was really evil, and the soundtrack reminded me of the old horror movies, so it fit right.

The gator is not her pet. It would eat her if hungry and she was within its reach. It’s a wild animal free to catch its own prey.

I understand that you could not show pearl killing her dad cause you did not show it

My theory is that a lot of this movie is presented like a really beautiful movie set in the golden age of cinemas, but the ugliness slowly reveals itself. So I don't condone anything that pearl did...but she almost seems childlike but with adult expectations on her. With feelings and ambitions and not wanting traditional 'womanly' things like children....and then you look at the Starletts of this time and how poorly they were treated and how just under the surface of this beautiful facade is just...all this rotten stuff just below the surface. I dunno I thought it was cool.
