I really believe Roland set a bar for electronic kits, and now we have these kits from Alesis, Yamaha, and now I’m seeing this from Pearl. I love it. If I was just hearing and not seeing this, I’d have thought it was a true acoustic kit with excellent triggers and EQ work done. I love this kit.

Roland was like "let's make some expensive shit", Pearl is like "hold my beer"! Definitely interested in the kick pad trigger assembly thingy as my internal trigger is starting to go on my conversion kit

There is a reason for Rolands pricing: Its far, far superior to pearls take on edrums. Had the e-merge demo-kit for a month, and compared to Roland VAD-series, its a toy:) HOWEVER: If U must go Pearl, the mimic pro module is good. But use some drumtec/Jobeky triggers. Pearl triggers are awful and are 15-20 years behind what everybody else is doing right now. I know Im talking about edrums on a higher price-scale, but the PRO metal-drummer 66Samus deserves the best there is:) Greetings from Norwegian drummer, e-drumming since 2008;)

Glad that electronic drum makers are also taking affordability into account... If I could shell out 8 grand on a drumkit chances are I'd have the fucking house big enough to handle acoustic..

The original Pearl "The Drum Rack" was designed by Jeff Porcaro and Paul Jamieson back in the 80´s.

@@attempt58 alesis strike pro is basically just a nitro with a better snare system. I had a nitro before acoustic and almost quit drumming because I hated it

I've played on electric drum kits before and one of my guy friends got this for his birthday. I helped him unboxed it and I can say we both felt like a kid in a candy store. So we both can relate Samus on how excited you are.

@@williamreithe The drum pads are mesh so those don't make too much noise, unless you hit the rubber rims. The bass drum pad is mesh but it's packed full of foam so it has a soft 'slap' sound. The cymbal pads are plastic covered in thick rubber so they sound like practice pads. All together it's ambient (meaning the physical sound of hitting the pads, not the sound you hear in headphones or speakers coming from the module) sound is akin to hitting a practice pad. Just like acoustic drums, the harder you hit the louder they will be however it still is just loud plasticy tap sounds. Don't butt the front bracket of the bass drum pad right up against your shared wall, that will transfer a ton of vibration. Beyond that I can't see your neighbor getting mad unless you are playing super late at night or all day. I recently had a band practice with myself and five other people all running into a single small keyboard combo amp turned down, my wife was in the adjacent room watching TV without issue and my dog slept through the whole thing.
