For me, this song has always been about drums. There is no loose feel on this song with Matt on drums.

Everything just seems so formal in a way with Matt on drums Dave A is the one for me

Unfortunately, without Dave, the wild and aggressive spirit of Pearl Jam was lost.

Still sounds great. But you can tell that’s not Dave on the drums without even looking. I also feel like this song was just built for Eddie back in the day. So much energy on this track.

Well, Dave wasn’t on this song when it was recorded either. Don’t get me wrong, Dave was a great drummer but Dave Kristen was on the set when Ten was recorded.

Why didn’t Cameron do the trash-can ending that Krusen did on the record? That part rocks. Come on man.

In his defense he’s still singing in the same tuning as in the record. Most bands start tuning down so the singer can keep up.

On the edge A windowsill Ponders his maker Ponders his will To the street below He just ain't nothin' But he's got a great view And he sinks the needle deep Can't touch the bottom In too deep Can't touch the bottom oh On the edge Of a know-nothin' town Feelin' quite superior The aged come To the sky above He just ain't nothin' But he's got a great view And he sinks the burning knife deep Can't touch the bottom In too deep Can't touch the bottom In too deep On the edge of a Christmas clean lover Young virgin here from heaven Visiting, yeah To the man above her She just ain't nothin' She doesn't like the view She doesn't like the view She doesn't like the view But he sinks himself deep Can't touch the bottom In too deep Can't touch the bottom Can't touch the bottom Deep, yeah Oh oh the bottom Yeah Oh oh the bottom Yeah Oh oh the bottom Yeah Oh oh the bottom Yeah Oh oh the bottom Yeah oh oh

@@malkoc222 Yeah I agree. It's hard to be sustainable when you have too many vocal lines that just push your range too far. I dont know how some vocalists can do it and many of them end up suffering.

Stop bashing Matt Cameron. He is still one of the greatest drummers of all time, just listen to Jesus Christ Pose. No, he isn't anything like Dave A but he carries Pearl Jam better than any other drummer could *except* for Dave A.
