Pearlescent SURPRISES! This Acrylic Pour Did Not Disappoint! Fluid Art & Acrylic Pouring

This week's pour really was a big surprise! I used 3 pearlescent acrylics from Amsterdam which are really pretty, but I wasn't sure what the colors may look like before I started the pour. lol I decided on an Oxide Black base, also by Amsterdam and my cell activator was Titanium White.
The pearlescent colors are really fun to work with and I would highly recommend picking some up sometime! Have you ever worked with that kind of color shifting acrylic, and if so let me know how things worked out in the comments below!

Love using pearls best to mark cups with letters of color I am a beginner but your explanations really help Cheers..beware the silver and gold are really strong colors

Very cool Tony! I have been wanting to try swiping with my Aussie floetrol and you have given me a wonderful idea. I have used pearlescent paints in several pieces but am just starting to use them on a black base as you know. I have a starburst coming out today that looks fabulous dry!! Congrats on 3k my friend!❤

Haha I've been playing with amsterdam pearls as well! I've used them before but I had new ideas. I've also used ghost and interference pigments and decoart iridescent shimmer topcoats. I like to mix in pigments or decoart with amsterdam to give it more shimmer. I got a lot of those holes in straight amsterdam too but I don't get them when I mix them with other paints/pigments. I ruined a large expensive canvas because of that. I haven't tried a swipe yet so I'm inspired now to try it! I do think I'll use black ca though. Congrats on 3k!🎉

They are so fun, but I had no idea what I was going to do! lol I figured a swipe was a safe choice for the first go with them, and I really love how well the color turned out!

Really gorgeous! I attempted a cloud poor with the pearlescent paint and that did not go well. Everything blended too much with the cloud mix. Next up is a reverse dip!

Nice result! Can you please remind me what you use as a pouring medium and ratio and is your cell activator aus floetrol? To answer your question, this summer we moved to a different community 21/2 hours away from the house we lived in for 30+ years! It’s been a summer to remember although I’d actually rather not.

Thanks for watching, Shelley! My medium is artist loft, and the ratio was 1/3oz paint 1 1/4oz paint. I use North American floetrol as well!

@@tonysfluidart NA Floetrol for your swipe/cell activator? And just a heads up, you may want to mention to your subscribers that KZfaq regularly does automatic changes to notifications from All to personalized (whatever that means in KZfaq language). In order to get consistent notifications it needs to be manually changed to ALL. Your videos stopped popping up which I realized after I followed you on FB. I checked back to KZfaq and sure enough, it had been switched, I had to change the notification to ALL. Same thing happened with other favourite fluid Artists I follow.
