Hey guys, it's been a while, I know, sorry! Real life, other procejts, that stuff. But I'm back with a little tutorial- how to build your very own paintrack out of cardboard. Total cost? 0$ But many workhours.

This is so handy, and the finished product is so good given it's essentially the cheapest materials we have on hand. Loved the video mate. Thanks for sharing.

Sadly german Oats are packed in paper bags 😔 had to substitute with cereal

Nice build, especially considering it's such a utilitarian object! I'd probably just have made boxes myself, but with the extra grippyness you mentioned that would probably be redundant.

I made paintstands that were basically just holes for paints before, but that's such an inelegant solution;D

I love it! Well done, man. This is such a good video, well worth the wait I just use acylic-plastic nail polish stands for all my olde citadel paints (from like 30 years ago) but the new citadel paint pots don't fit my fancy stands. Ergo, I will be using your unique method to make a stand. 11:00 You use card strips for the lining of the edges (to add support), I will be using cable ties for my own & adhering with superglue to provide additional support. I am also considering either leaving the back open (for additional storage of heavier custom texture paints - that use chewing gum tubs for pots), or closing the back completely so it can double up as terrain? See, you've got me brimming with ideas now, dude. Nice one

Thank you, I’m always happy to inspire! :D Using the back for additional storage is brilliant, I wish I had thought of that! Definitely, use whatever materials you have at hand! I simply seem to have a anti-superglue and therefore anti-plastic bias ;D

@@jagelsdorf1385 No danger, man. I have tonnes of superglue, only because I buy the cheap stuff from the pound/dollar stores: x6 superglues for £1/$1. As for Cable Ties, I go for long walks around industrial estates, construction yards & urban areas with a set of strong pliers. Then clean the neighbourhood of old cable ties that used to hold up signage from fences & lamp posts. Once I've accrued a sizable pile, I wash/sanitize them in dishwater for 30 minutes, dry off & they're read for use; Edge cladding, Framing, Adding reinforcement, Drainage grates, Runners, Train Tracks, etc.. A great free resource that removes unwanted plastic from the enviroment & repurposes it for crafting. Also a great excuse to get out of the house & get some exercise: Double win. Also, if you're out & about for walks, keep an eye out for birch trees (they have white barks, easy to spot). Birch seed pods (once browned), will flake into little seeds that resemble tiny leaves that are perfect for scatter terrain. Who knows, you may even find a whole bunch of other free materials, dude 😄 Looking forward to your next vid, man

Man, I never thought of collecting scrap cable ties, great Idea, and the environmental rationale is even greater! :O As to birch trees, and plants in general- I already keep an eye out for all possible foliage options ^^

Regular pvc pipes are weirdly tricky to get over here ^^

This is the epitome of tedious. I can see the aesthetic desire in individual notches, however, most of us have varying size/shape paint bottles as your collection grows.
