Peavey Heritage VTX in unknown condition.... can we make it work?

I got this at an auction with no knowledge of if it worked or could be fixed.... It'd make a good boat anchor anyway... Let's go!

I have the same amp that I, *too* got in an auction. i drove 200 miles round trip to get it. It has the same issues: unless you plug in an instrument it won't actuate the channel. I use the low input and it worked well and gradually worked up to the high and now it seems everything works.

I bought a Peavy MX off this old guy and gave me a crazy deal on it. Now I know why. Broke my back. And it only has one black widow speaker.

Some of those amps were SUPER heavy. Heritage VTX was extremely hefty... close to 100lbs. But you could hear it on the moon if you turned it up at least half way.

Btw the vtx was a great garage band PA system it’s got 4 independent channels with their own input and each has its own volume control so 4 mics

Could you shoot me a pick of the foot switch jack wiring please. I have the same issue but no idea which wire goes to which pin

Yes they are 6L6GC gcs. Check the power supply once it’s open the vtx series always Ned the filter caps changed

The foot switch plug got broke and they were too afraid of that death cap to investigate...

I sold this one awhile back. It was working great at that time. Power supply filter caps are indeed an issue on older amps.
