I love Summer Nights!! I have both of Hanna Karlzon's books!! They are wonderful to color in. Colored pencils glide on the page and blend very well on the page. Markers and gel pens work well in her books too!

Your pictures in the "Peter Rabbit" book are looking so good - Emilio is going to love it! I also have "Summer Nights" and have had the new book "Magical Dawn" on pre-order since November. The paper in Hanna's books is probably the best out of all the books I have - I'm in love with the paper. That "Wizard Of Oz" book is so cute, I think I might have to order it. Lol I have all of Johanna Basford's books minus "Magical Jungle." I think "Enchanted Forest" is the best one she did. I have quite a pile of coloring books as well. I look at buying coloring books the same as reading books. I am a lover of books and collect books, so this to me is no different. Great Haul! Have a good week!

I have mentioned before that I don't care for double sided pages - but oh that Summer Nights (Now I have the Grease song in my head lol) is gorgeous. I lost my daughter almost ten years ago, and for me coloring reading crafting etc is good mental therapy as well as fun. I know Ashlyn would want me to do things that I always have enjoyed. And that is why I accept that I am not very good at coloring - not horrible but nowhere near your talent - and that that is okay. You are also very humble which is so nice. When you said it's not a competition it made me think I deserve a beautiful book like the Summer Nights one as it is about enjoying the process. TFS

Yay! The Enchanted Forest....I'm having such a nice time coloring in this one. I usually do about half hour to an hour before I need to stop. So relaxing. Thanks for the book haul - my wish list is getting longer (Hello Animorphia-I'm looking at you!). Thanks for the video Jen - 2 more hours until I can leave work and go home and color! LOL! :-)

Nice haul - lots of variety. I thought I would mention that I purchased The Secret Garden Artist's Edition at TJ Maxx for $7. I always check the stationary dept. when I am in there, as well as Marshall's, because they have coloring books quite often at good prices. They also carry colored pencils, gel pens and other supplies. Of course it's hit or miss but still I always check. I think I'll add that Wizard Of Oz book to my cart at Amazon, I already have the Snow White one in there. They are so cute!

Jen, the enchanted forest is my all time favorite one. It was the second book I ever bought. I am still loving the romantic country books. I just yestersay bought the animorphia as well.

That's what I did. I collected different coloring books while I can before they took alot of them off the shelf. That away I can still color and I get kid's coloring book to to go with it.

Hey Jen! :) Great haul you got there. You found some different ones than I have but I recognized several you got since I have them as well. Every time I get a stash of new coloring books, I just sit back and smile as I look at them. They're so much fun to collect and of course, coloring them is even more fun. :) I guess great minds think alike. I filmed and uploaded a coloring book haul yesterday but I didn't get as many books as you did; mine was pretty small this time around. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new books and find a lot of new pictures to color. :)

I got the Jade Summer Magical Forest coloring book for Christmas &, while the pictures are pretty, I was (am) slightly (very) offended that the pictures repeat. Every single pic is in there twice. That turned me off to her for the future. I'll be checking all the reviews for her other books to see if that's the case before I buy another one of hers.

I love seeing your book hauls, I actually ordered 4 on Amazon (one being the Golden Girls one) and the next day I bought 2 at Bed Bath and Beyond. They were having a huge sale! My husband said no more for awhile and I laughed and laughed at him in the store 😂

Aww love the coloring book for girls. Ohhh Chibi Girls Horror is so cool. I just went to Amazon and it is currently out of print as it was a limited edition. I looked on Barnes and Noble and not there either.

If you want to keep some of your picks, especially Peter Rabbit you could try some fixative spray. Just a thought.

First I would like to say thank you for sharing your colouring book collection. I have never heard anyone explain the way you did about the reason for you collecting the books. I think the same way but family and friends seem to think I am wasting my money. I never pay full price for the colouring books I get them when the craze for a particular book goes way down in price lol no one seems to understand that it really does help with the pain it's not that the pain goes away, more like you are doing something you enjoy and that helps you to deal with the pain. I know what you mean about the colouring craze not lasting forever lol I have noticed that where I get my books they are only using a tiny bit of a shelf now but before it was from top to bottom. so you go ahead and buy when you can i too want to keep going long after this craze is over

Jen, I'm trying to collect coloring books with a story involved. I've watched this video many times over and the first time I straight away ordered The Velveteen rabbit, now after watching again, I've gone and ordered peter rabbit.Do you know of any other good ones with a story involved? I want to color them for keepsakes for my grandchildren in the hopefully distant future. Hah lol.

The art looks lovely in The Velveteen Rabbit. Maybe they have altered the original story because I think modern children might find it even more confusing. I am sorry to say I hated it. The child is sick (measles or something requiring quarantine, I think), I know that was hard for me to grasp. When he is better, they have to destroy his favorite toy, his velveteen rabbit, but then he sees that it has turned into a real rabbit. (Apparently this did not work for me.) Wikipedia has a much better summary, BTW. It sounds charming. As I have aged, I tend to have more sympathy for Mr. MacGregor chasing those rabbits out of his garden ;) (And yeah, that Secret Garden is coming now. Thanks, I think.)
