Things You'll Need:
Mini Pecan pie cookies
Sugar cookie
1 ¼ cup +2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ egg, lightly beaten
½ teaspoon vanilla
Pecan Filling
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 and 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 egg lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Decoration
Mini cupcake tray
2 ¼-inch circle cookie cutter

@@imananonymoususer my grandma calls them nut cups and i think she uses walnuts instead of pecans if i remember correctly but otherwise it's about the same. Im excited to make them again this year

You can make different flavored pie cookies by adding in pie filling. Like, apple pie filling with a graham cracker crust on top. Heaven!

These are pecan butter tarts. A canadian staple. If you want i can send you my great grandmothers recipe. They're obviously my favourite. More of a pastry than a cookie crust. However amazing. We use a combination of corn syrup, and maple syrup. Because. Canada. Lol. Also i say it pecaan with the long a sound, but a lot of people say pecan with the short a. Depends on where you live.

I grew up in the South, and we pronounce them as Pecan ( Pi-Con) because it's a nut, and not pecan (Pee-Can), like something you go to the bathroom in
