Great price and cooling off my sons room! His room was the hottest room in the house. It’s a little noisy but him being able to sleep through the night will be worth it. Installation took 2 people but went fairly easy.

Another idea to help with cooling. If you live in a dry climate or you have a hemostat in your home to tell you the humidity level and your home is not high humidity or very low humidity, then put a bowl of fresh clean water in front of your air conditioner. Air conditioning cools by taking the moisture out of the air and returning the air back into the home. So if your air conditioner is like brand new and it doesn’t seem to be cooling the air coming out of it is not very cool, check your humidity level in your room , and add a bowl of water in front of the unit

Bleach in a pump sprayer works wonders. Took my Dad's out today and sprayed it with bleach, used a scrub brush and the hose. It looked like new.

👍🏼every time I drive past the AC when mowing I say,,"I ought to brush the crap off that thing" and itz been about 6 years maybe more and I still aint cleaned the outside. That skinny screen inside I clean before starting up each summer. Besides that thing is snap fit in them new windows and cant get it out!!

I'm gonna try this in the morning. I noticed my sons ac wasn't blowing cold air and was making a like a buzzing sound. I checked the filter and it was just covered in dust so I cleaned out the filter and the dust in the vents that I could get without taking anything apart. It still isn't blowing cold or cool air and it's still making the same noise so I'm hoping doing what you showed in the video helps. It was working fine earlier in the day but by evening I noticed it wasn't cooling.

I washed mine out a month ago and it cooled for two weeks, I just washed out again because it was not cooling at all but it is still not cooling. About 6 year old, GE aircondition window unit push button type. Set on auto and cool but runs all the time and temp is set on 68 but says 83 in here now. Anything else I can try?

We did this for our other air conditioner before this one that we have now. We still have yet to clean it and will be doing that in a week or so. Its up to 109 tomorrow and its going to be in the three digits for two weeks. Its not working like it use to and we know why.

I’m curious, I purchased a window air conditioner for a slider up and down window. But I’m wondering after you install the air conditioner there’s a gap between the two pieces of glass the original fixed window at the top in the one you slid up is there a special product that you put down between that glass to keep bugs in the air from coming through between those two Window panels of glass??? Is it something you can buy like at Walmart, Amazon or Home Depot? Right now, I just have like bubble wrap stuff down in there but I’m worried that Brooks will still be able to get through! 👍 Very useful great video! Thank you so much for posting. im in S.E.La. we got the same climate issues and they aint man made its just hot down here. anyway you turned unit on its back did you have to wait for the coolant to drain back before running the unit? i was always told not to do that. just asking or if anyone else wants to chime in it would be appreciated

My ac doesnt make noise or produces water it use to leak water out the bacc like any window unit but doesnt anymore and it blows hot air most the day it will make the noise like it turns on and it starts blowing cold air for about ten minutes then it turns off and blows hot air again? Any help? I think its because it isnt producing watwr like it use to any guesses i really would appreciate the help
