I read the first 5 pages of 50 Shades of Grey and threw it away not for any morally outraged reasons but because it was so badly written - I'm with Oscar Wilde on that one. The cleverest thing in its creation was that the author had realised that with S and M becoming more generally accepted there was a niche in the market.
