After catching the northbound MetroRail train in Leander, I came here to wait for it to come back north. After a decent wait, it departed Leander and came flying south through this crossing within a matter of minutes.
This is quite a neat crossing, being one of six pedestrian-only installations on the Central Sub. Admittedly, I had no idea it existed for a number of years until I drove past it earlier in 2022. Either way, it was installed around 2011 when this section of the Brushy Creek Trail was constructed. It features a mix of RSI and US&S equipment, with a pair of General Signals Type 2 electronic bells.
