excellent lecture 🌹 I 've a question, If I made the maturation sutures, is there still need to make stay sutures? I mean, Are the maturation sutures enough to secure the tracheal opening without doing stay sutures .. as already the trachea is adherent to the skin without any possibility of false tracking during the first tracheostomy tube change?

Stay sutures will help to open the tracheal opening by bilateral lateral gentle displacement to make the stoma wide and help also to get trachea more near to incision site by traction. The most used actually are the stay sutures rather than maturation sutures
