She asked him when it was too late. He gave up in the end and that was bound to happen. Chantel wasn’t a great wife tbh and he wasn’t perfect either. She was lazy and always taking vacations and leaving him at home. She used to leave washed laundry in the machine all day and wouldn’t clean up any mess all whilst she was at home sitting pretty with a full face of makeup complaining she’s tired.

Their problem could all have been solved if they had communicated better and made compromises. From what I saw, Chantel tried fixing things and communicated with him , which he always ran away and spent time with his coworkers. Chantel was not perfect and I am not defending her, but I think the one here who is in the WRONG was Pedro, not Chantel because at least she tried to work it out ... Doesn't matter if she was first or late. She tried. She lowered herself for this man. She pleaded and begged him when he treated her like garbage. Even when she did try to fix things, and cook for him, and do housechores, he would still nag her and his behavior wouldn't change. This "she was not a good wife to him" is a shitty excuse bcuz when she did, his behavior didn't change. Idk about you, but if my husband treated me like crap and I still did housechores, I wouldn't do shit for him either. On the case of her "vacations, vacati, and vacations" she always invited him and wanted to do things with him but he never wanted to You can def could her lazy if was a bum , doing nothing. He got tired in the end and gave up and I don’t blame him. She started cooking for him and doing household chores way too late in the marriage. She started once he already opted out. She didn’t open her eyes and realise in the beginning so her husband had enough. Pedro was no angel by far and I am not defending him but he was right to give up and divorce her as she was doing nothing for their future together and kept taking girls vacations whenever she had the opportunity to so of course Pedro would get close with his coworkers when they was all he had since his wife kept leaving him alone. I get she “tried” but it was too late and yes it does matter. She can’t all of a sudden decide she wants to play the good wife AFTER Pedro spoke about divorce.
