This Sculpted Wooden Cabinet is made from Tasmanian Blackwood. The doors and drawer fronts are constructed using a process called stacked lamination. Book matched boards ensure grain and colour continuity. These boards are cut down into lengths of timber which are temporarily assembled and roughly carved using power tools, then each individual length is carved by hand to refine the flowing shapes as well as allowing any movement to come out of the material before gluing the pieces together. Gluing the pieces together first, then shaping could result in warping due to the amount of material removed.
The doors and drawers to the Sculpted Wooden Cabinet are all push to open Blum Hardware to ensure natural lines without the use of exposed hardware.

I am an old (76) and experienced woodworker, and son I must say, you are an artist. That cabinet is the best thing I have seen in many a long year. Congratulations on your fine work. I was also pleased to see the Jet/Powermatic/Festool equipment in your workshop. My first choice also.

It’s been so long since you’ve posted a video very glad to see you are still making art. I’m an aspiring woodworker and follow quite a few channels and your work is by far the nicest and cleanest of anyone I’ve come across. This is such a good idea for contouring the front! It looks amazing. I hadn't seen the clamp idea for the miter joints, I'm starting to like the idea of tape and superglue.

What a treat to see a work of art being produced step by step, in such detail. Thanks for the vid. Talking to the local Technical Development Manager at Soudal, he suggested I use a lot less PE glue when spreading it out on the joint. Joints are just as secure, but a lot less cleanup. Absolutely beautiful. I cannot imagine how many hours are involved in creating this. How do you put a price tag on something like this. I am a hobbyist woodworker and I make delicate music boxes. I only make them for gifts because the time it takes exceeds the amount anyone would pay. I enjoy watching videos like this it gives me ideas I can translate to my music boxes. Your work is pure art. PEDULLA STUDIO, where art and craft are blended! Absolutely divine! Almost ''eye candy.'' I concur with you use of PU glue, removes the need for fiddly time consuming joints, and gives a totally concealed joint. [ Also; Sets fast, super strong, no fumes, 100% waterproof, and stronger than PVA. etc.] I'm jealous of your workshop! 😊👍
