A ramp is a bad example of peeking far from the wall. If you pick from far shadow exposes you much earlier. You should peek A ramp close

I kinda disagree with mirage ramp. The shadows from the skybox are pretty defuse. A main on ancient though.... That fucking light in there creates the most egregious shadows....

agree since you are peeking from the left side which is a disadvantage, to negate that you must at least get closer and do a wide swing this will make you look faster like xantares peek or you can be smart by not taking that duel from that spot, it is really a bad spot

To be honest... peekers advantage is such a bad game behaviour. I hope it gets fixed soon. Remember the 1.6 Times where you just could hold an angle without any issues. Its so fucking annoying to play against those peeks

space from wall is dependent on multiple factors. sometimes its better to be close to the wall. especially when you know where the enemy is. good video!

good example is peeking jungle from sandwich, you should be close to the wall and wide peek, it's incredible how DISGUSTING it looks from the jungle player's pov when you xantares peek the mf

I remember people complaining about running and gunning in valorant in instagram comments a year ago, stating that CS was much better because that wasn't allowed. Well, it's actually the other way around. You can't peek while running so fast in val.

FYI, AK-47 velocity is 215. M4 velocity is 225. So you have to move out a little further for an optimal swing. Velocity changes per gun! More guns: Aug velocity: 220 Awp velocity: 200 MP5 velocity: 235 USPS velocity: 240 Knife velocity: 250

Now that peekers advantage is cleaned up a little, they NEED to fix right vs left peek. I see a shoulder and the other guy sees my entire body, how does that make sense?

you didnt talk about that your model is more to the left then to the right , exemple: if you take bot and draw a line in the center something like 65% of model will be on left side of line You shouldnt peek on left side if posible

Honestly they really should have worked on getting rid of peakers advantage and counter strafing. We learned to do the mechanics but that doesn't mean that they are good/healthy mechanics......

Counterstrafing should continue to be a mechanic. Peekers advantage is just part of EVERY game because of how netcode works. However the effect can be reduced and improved.

@revanthenub I respect your opinion. And yes, you are absolutely correct about peekers' advantages being tied to net code and being present in every game. Usually, it's tied to internet limitations, but what I was getting at was they absolutely could have done a better job battling it. We still have people sliding on ice skates around a corner. The professionals have even stopped holding an angle with awps in certain situations because a rifler can outright win. But I will respectfully disagree about the counter strafing, valorant made it to where you could and didn't have to counter strafe for the same outcome.......and it feels absolutely fine/comfortable.
