I had this bike for couple of weeks and I love it. It's simple but light and lively.

Thanks, it's light and 2x8 derailleur is fun:) This bike definitely feels more alive and faster.

That's a sweet bike Ron. I've just bought a Brompton for puttering around on. It's joined my stable which includes a steel Ridgeback tourer and a Voodoo MTB which hasn't been used for a while. I know you'll have fun on that lovely new Marin. Cheers 👍🏼

Is this bike ok for big curbs/ small to medium dropoffs in like urban plazas off rocks?

The tyres are quite narrow for that. When fully inflated they'll manage but once I got a snakebite puncture because I hit a rock on the road. Before I used to ride the Marin Muirwoods which felt like a tank. Heavy steel frame and thick tyres ideal for potholes and stuff.
