A cornerstone of Detroit's modern era, he's all about pushing street logic and getting things done. It started with 2014's 'Mud Muzik,' where a deep talent emerged and made a regional dent real quick. Peezy has said that he personally believes that his true level-up came a few years later, when Yo Gotti invited him onstage at the Little Ceasar Arena, and the crowd went wild. It was right before he started an 18-month jail stint, where he read all the time, and even studied the dictionary to advance his vocabulary. Ever since the 34-year-old has been on the outside, he's been parlaying that crowd frenzy into building a sizable audience. "2 Million Up" had a viral vibe, calling TikTok home for a while. It's part of last year's 'Only Built 4 Diamond Links," his most popular album yet. “People say my music puts them in better moods," he recently told an interviewer, "makes them want to hustle, go back to school, make money.” Peezy's music makes us want more Peezy music.
