So, jackpot apparently went into gbb without preparing any battle routines. One of them (wing) had to prepare for solos so apparently they didn’t except to go further than elims. When the battle matchups were released they knew rofu would probably lose to rogue wave and they’d probably lose to Jairo. So that whistle move was just for the fun of it and they planned to complain if they won with it. Definitely a bit weird but jackpot vs rofu is a lot of fun

As much as I don't like when people get all the way to GBB only for us to find out they never prepped any real battle rounds, Wing's solo prep definitely showed. His run was a highlight for me for sure.

Going above time is not illegal in gbb. The judges have the ryt to give negative points. But an external device or tool which produces its own sound is not allowed and Jackpot would have been disqualified if the battle was close. Since it was a washout in favour of Jairo, nothing was mentioned.

Apparently they wanted to go against rofu, so they did that to lose so they can battle them

Wing said in an interview they did it deliberately as they had no other rounds prepared. Even if hypothetically they had beaten Jairo(which was not the case), they would not have any rounds prepped for the finals which they felt was a disservice to their opponents(rogue wave) and as well as the crowd and event as a whole.

Going over time might be the deciding factor in a close battle, but it’s not a total disqualification. They either just disregard everything after the timer or subtract points.

jackpot was already disqualified from the whistle so they knew they had already won the 2nd round didn't even count lol they just performed the whole song

On GBB battles, going a little under or overtime is not that serious. They only strictly follow the rule for wildcards.

Normaly it is completly okay to go longer than the given 1:30 its nice but (in germany) you get +/- 10 seconds so its no problem to go like 2 or 3 second longer
