I think this is peak napom, my favourite style from him is when he does the polyrhythms & triple rhythms like all the noises at the same time. This is also probably the best structured routine he has done, napom usually doesn't structure routines well but here it's perfect

Zhang Ze! How does the name Zhang Ze not roll of off Anthony's tongue, smh! He's been in the judges panel in a few of the GBB battles you have done. Ah Xin, who is really good as well, is/was his tag team partner too, A&Z they are/were called. They got to the final of GBB tag team category in 2017 but lost to Mad Twinz, so I highly recommend checking that one out! Edit: I should of watched a bit more 😅It clicked! Also it is pronounced Jung zee iirc, but don't hold me to that (:

You guys were talking about how beatboxers plan/prepare their routines. There are some who write it down on sheets like anthony mentioned, but many just keep messing with beats in their day to day life, and if they like something they voice record those beats on their phones and save them for later :p

Smoking actually relaxes the vocal chords and throat, yes smoking can damage your throat and vocals but it also relax them. A common condition with smokers is weakened sphincter muscles in the throat I forgot what the medical term is for it but it can lead to acid reflux and problems...Maybe it helps with beatboxing being more relaxed though

I'm not following the scene as much as I used to do but a few years ago there were a few guys who called out people on stage for just showcasing prepared stuff instead of actually battling. There are levels to beatboxing and the greats are always ready to counter with freestyles or add complexity to a own routine to 'outpoint' the opponent. To cover a song is the easiest form of beatboxing. Then theres freestyle and original tracks. Not saying song covers can't be great but still the other forms require another level of skill.
