When Pekora said: "My brother influenced so many things I like", not gonna lie; I felt guilty as a brother I'm a student aiming to enlist/apply for OCS (Canada officer candidate school essentially) to become a medical officer, and in order to get into the MOTP (med. Officer training program) I have to get accepted into a civilian university that offers a UMD (undergrad. Med. Degree?) And I have to hold high grades in order to stay both in school and in MOTP (pays for education) but honestly, I'm trash at school, never really got high marks and suck with long hours of classes and studying Although I have been trying my best to learn and become a better student, I've neglected my family for the most part (not to mention on top of an 8 year gap between my brother and I, I also barely talk to people as is) except for when we go to a cabin every couple weekends I recently haven't been going so that I can focus on school, but according to my mom all my brother talks about are the few things I say during our short conversations (How to prune trees, start fires etc.) And when a rotten tree destroyed our front gate he started asking for me (allegedly) Idk, hearing Pekora (and all the other hololive members) talk about how much they leaned on/were influenced by their siblings in even the smallest ways makes me think of how much my brother looks up to me and I feel slightly guilty about it (Like I make the best of our time together, but I have a shitton of priorities, so I end up leaving him things that I like/used to have him maybe take interest)

This makes me realise how lucky I am to have such a good bond with my two younger brothers. I never really stop to think about how the things I like or do influence them but actually looking back on it, I realise just how much their personalities are in some ways reflections of my own and how I treated them as they grew up determined who they were to an extent (there's a seven year and seventeen year gap between me and the two of them respectively). The result is two adult man children and a very quirky teenager and our time together is always a blast. On top of that, they are amazing uncles to my little girl who's not far off her 2nd birthday, and even she is starting to inherit some of our quirky traits by being around us! Just by being happy, enjoying yourself as much as you can, and being a good role model, you really can have a positive effect on those around you, and it drives home how important it is to keep your ties with family super strong, because they are the people who will stand by you no matter what.

"My brother influenced so many things I like" SAME. Really the time before he got his own flat, he really influenced me. He got me into pokemon and minecraft, he introduced me to KZfaq, we watched a bunch of shows together and I got some of his habits. Both of us changed, but I think a lot of my interests at least had their bases from that. I really got into anime before he did, but we both watched animes like Dragonball, Pokemon, Digimon and Case Closed together. At some points we liked, disliked or avoided each other, but I definetely got a lot from him. I think siblings, especially older ones, have a lot of impact on your life
