What a difference a few days make, ideal shooting conditions today on the range, bright sunshine and minimal wind (no excuses for me) and the results reflected the conditions.

Hi Vin, good to see you with the 97. I have a KT in beech. Awsome rifle. The quality of these guns is difficult to put into words. They just feel like they would last forever.
@vincentenglish84895 ай бұрын
Exactly that my friend, they maybe a little pricey but worth every penny and will last a lifetime 👍👍👍

I have the HW97K in .22 and it loves the RWS Super domes but on the back of this review I've just ordered a full (200) tin of the Bisley Magnums. Thanks again Vin for making Air rifle shooting fun again. You're a inspiration. Thanks again and keep the channel going no matter what.

Goes to show how each airgun has it's own ammo preferences, my HW77K (.22 cal, set to 10.5 ft/lbs for garden use) loves the Air Arms pellets, and the discontinued Webley Vermin Pell.

Nice shooting Vin. I agree that the sitting position is underrated and can be very effective. I really need to find time to go itch my trigger finger.

Nice shooting Vin. Once you’ve finished your pellet testing, it would be nice to see your preferred seated shooting position. It would be nice to try it or attempt to 😊😊 kindest regards Carl

That's some nice groups at what amounts to 38.2 yards for us airgunner's in the US. I was a bit surprised the Air Arms wasn't doing near the top since they are re-branded JSB's. The JSB's have always done best for me with my HW97k in .177, but I haven't tested them beyond 30 yards yet. Bisley pellets are hard to get here in the US so I never tested them. Your right about the wind. Even rested on a bench the wind can move you around off center before you shoot, then push your pellets here and there on the way to the target.
@vincentenglish84895 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy, Air Arms usually do ok in my Weihrauchs but again shows that you really need to test as many as possible to find the right pellets for you rifle. Hmm are AirArms rebranded JSBs or the other way round as they came out before JSBs 🤔😉👍👍👍 they did still produce just over a half inch so that's not too shabby at all.

Another good one Vin, very informative. I use Bis Mags or JSB 8.44s in my HW97 .177 but when I run out of the JSBs I won't be buying any more, they are half as expensive again as the Bisleys and not as consistent. The worst I ever tried were those Hades pellets, my target looked like I'd taken a shotgun to it. Has to be said that my 97 Sporter is my favourite gun, it's just soooooo nice to shoot, I just caught myself smiling thinking about it. Keep up the good work, mate. These vids are great.
@vincentenglish84895 ай бұрын
Thanks David, your comment means alot buddy. The 97 really deserves a decent wood stock, I'm so going off these black tactical, polymer, whatever stocks. 👍👍👍
@davidpaylor56665 ай бұрын
@tenglish8489 They have their place, if I was still driving around in a Landy popping bunnies all the time I'd have one with the poly stock but the beech sporter stock Weihrauch do is really nice and solid in your shoulder, nicer than the thumbhole one in my opinion. Always a pleasure mate!

There's a brand new one of these exact guns on Guntrader right now in .177. Only 4 weeks old, 200 shots through it, still in warranty , condition as new £380 or ono

Out of interest Vin, is a HW 57 worth considering and what caliber would you recommend as I tend to pick.22 for lighter weight rifles. It’s the only HW springer I don’t have but as I get older the lighter rifles become more appealing 😉

I have just got my 97 in blacking. 22.the only pellets I had was the b.s.a gold stars.there great in this gun.

Bisley mags are very good pellets and are the only pellet my HW 100 .177 likes, in fact i have 2 and they both love bisley mags, but I thought springers ran better on lighter loads. Your testing has shown otherwise in the 97. Keep up the good work
@vincentenglish84895 ай бұрын
I guess my testing shows theory only goes so far and the importance of testing as many pellets as possible to find the one that suits your particular rifle. Thanks for the comment buddy 👍👍👍

Very interesting again Vin, I find that 99s shoots better in .22 than.177 lower weight, less recoile? The 77 & 97 are the same action apparently so sown how all a little different 👍🏻thanks again for your time and truble
@vincentenglish84895 ай бұрын
I dunno Ian, I find the 99s in .177 can more than hold its own against it's more expensive brothers. Feel kind of bad because my results the other day didn't do it justice. I know for a fact it can shoot much much tighter groups than it did then. Mind you the wind didn't help and nothings to say it wasn't just me having a bad day 😉👍👍👍

Hi Vin, nice video, do you have any of your videos shooting on the range or anywhere. And is the hw 97k very heavy airgun or the Air arms pro sport. And could I use a red dot sight on the hw 97 , have you tried using the pro sport. Hope to hear from you, like your videos ❤
@vincentenglish84895 ай бұрын
Hi there my friend. Thanks for the comment. Yup there's a few videos of shooting on the range. Yup the HW97k is a heavy gun but not unmanageable, same with the Pro Sport. Yup I've shot a Pro Sport, excellent rifle in my humble opinion. Yup you can put a red dot on a HW97k, not sure why you would though, to make the most of the rifle it's better to having a decent scope mounted rather than a red dot. Hope this helps 👍👍👍

That's a tough one, it's going to come down to personal preference buddy. All 3 that you mention are excellent guns and will do you proud. Best advice I could offer is go to the gun shop and shoulder all 3, let the guns speak to you, you'll know which one to choose. 👍👍👍
