So much variety! From a modified Morris Minor Traveller to a factory Lea-Francis Woodie, a Rover SD1 convertible, a resurrected 2CV I've known for years, a 1923 Humber, an ex-Police Vauxhall Senator, a Ford Escort Mk4 'dad's car', a Ford Edsel, Chevrolets and stationary engines! #carshow #classiccars #britishcars

Nobody does it better, thanks for 32 minutes of joy! My mum had a friend in the 80s who drove a Giulietta so I fell in love with that splendid rump at a tender age. Lovely to hear briefly from the owner too.

Oh man i remember the 2,5 V6 Vectra As. They did indeed sound tasty, especially when beaten. A guy near where i lived drove a sedan manual one of those. We also had a mk8 Mitsubishi Galant V6, with an aftermarket airbox, which was always driven like the owner stole it. Quite a tasty sounding car too. I miss the days of fun engines in regular cars, so much. Xantia V6, Volvo and Audi's wonderful 5 cylinders, that Rover V8 aso.. Those were the days... Anyways: I love the way you cover car shows. How you manage to keep so much car knowledge in that noggin of yours baffles me. ..and that 2CV story at the end.. ❤

I love your show reviews. 99% of the vehicles are different to what I’d normally see at a local car show. Plus, the Aston DB2/4 was the car that got me interested in cars since it was the old car my dad kept longest during the mid 70s to mid 80s when they were just another old car and not worth tons.

Hubnut nattering on about cars for 32 minutes and it's all entertaining and informative. [There are other videographers that are good for 8 to 12 minutes, some can do 20 but holding our attention with a quirky guy wandering around a field with a microphone for over 30 minutes is a skill.]

“That’s a TR4A based on the side indicators” What amazes me about Mr HubNut, is how he has such depth of knowledge over a wide range of marks. I know these types of details for my particular area of interest, Mercedes from about 1960 to about 1995, but outside that range things get a bit more fuzzy.

I enjoyed the concentration on the exceptional vehicles. Quality always counts. Two Woody's of exceptional quality. One, the Lea Francis & the other a persons own work using the best joinery skill. A lovely 1920s Humber in the proud possession of its owner. A much more modern Ford Escort, with an equally proud owner with only 50,000 miles on the clock. A delightful venue full of the nicest people. A most enjoyable watch, Thank You.

That Mark 4 Escort sure it was the same spec as my late grandfather's but his was red. A beautifal RX7 i remember that version coming out i must have been 10 and 11 and was amazed at how it looked. I don't know if anyone has bothered to tell you Ian, but your editing skills have come such a long way since I first started watching your channel. Kudos to you. Also, the personal highlight of your video for me was the restored International 454 tractor. I have spent months on one of these, ploughing paddocks, cutting hay, sowing wheat, oats, and many other farm related duties as a young bloke in Western Victoria, Australia. The one on our farm had a Gason engineering cab on it, with louvre windows all round, so when it was hot, the windows were wide open, and when it was cold, the louvres were closed, and you huddled around the back of the engine cowling to keep yourself warm. Keep doing what you are doing. Your channel is one of the very few I follow where I watch almost every video.

When I was younger back in the 1990s, there was a used car place on the A636 at Clayton West which regularly had ex-police vehicles on sale- if I'd been a few years older I'd have had a Senator... or maybe a Rover Metro panda car!

already in love with the 205 RG convertible. Places like Bournemouth and Eastbourne are a haven for clean older cars being disposed of by the elderly who are giving up driving or in estate disposals. ULEZ and clean air zones will be doing the same.

Oof!! What a way to start, with a '59 Edsel driving in. I'll always say Ford went the wrong way in 1959, with the styling. Instead of less, they should have made it MORE wacky, like everyone else seemed to for that year! 😂🤣

It would actually be an Edsel, as Edsel was set up as a division of Ford, just like Lincoln and Mercury. The owner's title of these vehicles actually shows "Edsel" as the make 😊 There were models under the make, like Ranger and Corsair...
@bentullett6068
@bentullett6068 Жыл бұрын
If I can remember it's sales were that bad they had to bribe the customers with young girls to buy it by adding a free pony into the deal. To bring irony to it someone in America did actually convert an Edsle into a car a horse could drive.
@brentboswell1294
@brentboswell1294 Жыл бұрын
@@bentullett6068 Edsel was based on a faulty market premise: that there was a market in America for a vehicle that slotted between Ford and Mercury. In the late 1950's, that meant that it was slightly larger than a Ford, with slightly less luxury features than a Mercury. They also gave the marque some unique features, like the optional push-a-matic transmission selector (push buttons in the center of the steering wheel to put the car in gear). Mercury itself was a "gateway" brand, created to get buyers into Lincoln dealerships and eventually purchase a big Lincoln. In the end, Ford failed at emulating General Motors, and didn't steal too many sales from Oldsmobile and Buick 😅 a few members of the general public recognized that Edsel was going to be a colossal failure, and bought the cars to put away in the garage. There's a surprisingly large number of well preserved and unrestored Edsels on the road here in the States...

Also can I class owning a just over 10 year old car as a classic as they seem to start having issues after the ten years.
