Ouh lala, il me semble que je prends un risque en laissant un commentaire sur ce sujet sacré (mieux que sur ce sacré sujet, encore que)... Je trouve la video tout simplement magnifique. Manoeuvres fluides et impeccables. Un voilier qui ne gîte pas c'est comme une moto qui ne penche pas dans les virages. Mais il me semble que dans la dernière phase des virements de bord, remarquables dans le calme et la maîtrise, et que j'ai étudiés à la loupe, la GV est bordée parfaitement alors même que le bateau continue TRES largement son abattée pour gonfler ses voiles d'avant (ça m'a choqué notamment à 1'02, par exemple). Du coup la GV n'est t'elle pas trop bordée? Cela dit ce bateau est si beau lorsqu'il gîte... Et nous n'avons pas une bonne vision de l'encombrement du plan d'eau, ce qui justifie probablement certains choix de route. Ce n'est probablement pas le genre de GV qu'on règle toutes les 10 secondes...

@@pbl6888 cela dit belle démonstration… l’équipage connaît le bateau et a probablement « quelques notions de voile » 😂. Il faut faire attention aux critiques car il y a très probablement une bonne raison, notamment le fait que le barreur anticipait la remontée au vent. Avec une GV comme ça on ne fait pas joujou toutes les 5 minutes et l’ollofée due à cette GV très bordée est magnifique d’élégance.

Boat is top heavy. Not balanced. To low of freeboard and to much sail area.

Connie Fontenot you obviously do not know what you are talking about and who the owner (Eric Tabarly) is. The boat is perfectly. Balanced, the graft if expertly trimmed for power. The gallant and forward sails are trimmed to heal the boat for longest water line and ultimate speed. Not wanting to be insulting but you are ignorant of sailing these sailboats. Ignorants given the power to broadcast their 'views' as if it was an opinion worst , knowledge.

Too much sail area, you're quite right. Tabarly would'nt have like that. A shame.
