A felted piano has fabric between the strings and the hammers to provide a warmer and more mellow sound. The mechanical noise of the piano becomes much more noticeable - but personally I think it gives authenticity and intimacy to the recordings. I hope you will like, share, and add the album to your playlist! I have created video performances of all recordings to be released on KZfaq each Sunday in the coming weeks. Stay tuned! I love this piece! And the felt version is a very interesting idea. I would have thought that it would sound kind of annoying to hear the clunking sound of the hammers and keys, but it actually makes it sound more natural; almost as if your in the room with the piano. I came across your channel a few months ago and I really enjoy your compositions! I'm a composer myself and I love your style of playing. Wonderful job sir! 👏
