Little tip: always use the other hand while handling the large spoon to pour in curry. The spoon is messed up if you use the hand you're eating with to do the job. It gets uncomfortable for other people to use it. It's actually a table etiquette here in the east. (Side note: You didn't leave any tip at the first restaurant.)

I would like to suggest you to visit the states of Kelantan and Terengganu which shares striking difference in their local Malay accent with other states in the Peninsular, which I affectionately call them the Scotland of Malaysia. Their Nasi Kerabu is nice!

I said you would like it, a while ago 🙂 All banana leaf restaurants are the same as the one you went to. Only use 2 fingers and the thumb btw. Very good you only used your right hand to eat. LOL, there was a guy like you in 16th century called Robert Knox , an English sailor, became so friendly with locals and decided to reside in Sri Lanka for a long time. He even has written a book called An Historical Relation of the Island Ceylon. Ya, it was a book coz they didn't have youtube at that time :). BTW, thanks for helping this Sri Lankan community who are involved in tourism biz.
