Pence knows his place and that as vice president, it's his job to help and support his president. I do think Pence almost wavered there before the second debate, it was clear with the way Trump answered a question that him and Pence were having a disagreement about policy and weren't talking. But Pence never once stepped forward to attack his own out of some selfish need to save himself or step on others to raise his own status in the eyes of others. I do think Romney is just a pill that can't be swallowed though. That's not Trumps fault, that's Romney's fault for what he said. Romney gave millions to the anti Trump super PAC's. He publicly insulted Trump. As nice as it would be to keep Romney around as a pet, no position Romney ever holds, beyond janitor, will ever be something we can take Romney himself serious on. If Romney is now trying to be SOS of a Trump admin, after all he said about Trump, Romney's own motives and character comes into question.
