New video. I wanted to expand on the idea of penciling and inking supplies...things you might need, not need...maybe use as training wheels then move past them. Nice long video touches on a lot of working tools for drawing and as always I add in thoughts and approaches to YOUR art work and being creative with your approach/...which is really what it's about.

So funny when you said these are great background noise for when you're working... That's exactly what I did right now. Keep them coming, these are great inspiration. Thanks!

rty5150 cool. I am really into a lot of the Tokai stuff...Burny, Greco etc...Les Pauls, Flying V's strats etc....wouldn't mind getting a nice Explorer. I was a singer in bands...I keep talking about playing guitar...but I was actually a singer...but I played guitar pretty seriously on and off for about 12 years/

That's awesome! I've been playing for about 20 years and started when i was 16. Since you are a Burny and Greco guy, I own an Edwards John Sykes Les Paul. Conicidentally, I started out as a singer, too, but think that I personally am not that good and am a far better Guitarist than singer.

rty5150 rty5150 the Sykes Edwards are nice...I've thought about getting one and switching out a little of the hardware just for the look. I have 2 Edwards actually...hahha..I have the E-LP 112LTS/RE (an original one...not the new ones) and I got a Tobacco Burst LP...the Edwards are nice guitars!

If you are starting a Copic collection, use Hobby Lobby. They have a decent collection of colors including grays. They clearance out stuff once in a while and you can get great deals on odd colors. Best of all you can get the Hobby Lobby app for your Smartphone. The app will generate a 40% off coupon. You can use the coupon once a day for one item per store. I was lucky in that there were 3 HL stores on my way home from work. So I would hit one at lunch and 2 on the way home. After a while your collection will build up quickly. Michaels also sells copics. I've got some of the wide copics at Michaels for $1.99 not too long ago. So just keep an eye out.

Bryan Thompson I got some of those thicker copics at Michaels for about $1 a piece...they were blowing them out...not the best pens for detail work...but I can always find a use for an art supply.

Awesome video, thanks Richard! On the Kuretake pen, is there a specific model designation on that?

Thanks for the video. Re: White-out markers; an artist recommended Posca white pens from Uni. I have one but haven't really used it much. They're Japanese so, they're probably great.....?

7:50 Why didn't you tell me this ten or even fifteen years ago? Now I have a shitload of expensive brushes that don't work for me and I've only recently discovered the comfort of pen brushes ... Ah well, better late than never, I guess.
