@@Serdy I'm not looking towards drum & bass but rather depth in a song. the break-down has no more than two instruments at hand, with a pretty sweet momentum. But there's just too much drum and bass for me to enjoy the main structure of the song. It has tons of potency, but it resided in a watered down- drum and bass sequence.

2 years later and it's safe to say Noisia absolutely nailed this! At first i did not like it at all. But one needs grow into Noisia sounds. Hearing that nostalgic timeless intro in high quality is beyond anything. And that drop is fantastic. Just the contrast inbetween is magical. Intro almost makes you cry. But that drop makes you lose your shit. Second drop with that higher frequency is out of this world. Welcome back Pendulum and farewell Noisia. Thank you ♥️👌🎶😇🙏

you can have dnb where they add tons of inbetween drums and alot of LFO jumps and get extremely high bpm amount. but the one and only thing to know if its dnb is the 4 drums that make the ritm in normal english

This song has been stuck in my head since it came out. I love the out of place low chords they used at 0:31, 0:43, 0:53, 2:33. So good. Also the hard transitions between pendulum and Noisia styles are great, really feels like both of you worked on the project. Really tempted to buy The Complete Works.

I just realized that I was 5 years old when Hold Your Colour was released. At that same time I didn't have any clue what I was listening to really, but I fucking loved it man. I was listening to Tiësto's Adagio For Strings at that time too. This remix takes me way back man. Like that old DnB and Dubstep I used to love on UKF. Now I'm 18 and I think it's safe to say that electronic music is a permanent part of my life and I have Pendulum and Tiësto to thank for that. Fucking love this.

And even Noisia made a few melodic tracks. Halcyon, Thursday or Could This Be for example. About this remix i love how the intro and outro makes you wanna cry but the drops makes you wanna explode. Perfect combination. But than again It's Noisia. They never made a bad track.

Let me put it this way: Pendulum created a delicious pasta dish called "Hold Your Colour" that I have enjoyed for many years. Then Noisia came along and grated cheese over it, you can't go wrong with that.

Pendulum, for me, are an important part of music history! Rob Swire is a genius and dnb wouldnt be where it is today without their initial influence - 'the vault' was the kickstarter i think? And that was a backlog tune. Producers dont make bangers/anthems anymore, either too lazy or people are too easy to please nowadays!? Their Live Performance at Glastonbury 2009 set the bar high, im happy Pendulum are back. Can only see big things happening....

No doubt in my mind. This is fucking incredible beyond comprehension, however, it can't and never will hold a candle to the original. And that's something (for me anyway) will be throughout this whole remix album - incredible remixes but Hold Your Colour is hands down my favourite album of all time. So all this gushing over the original getting all nostalgic and that is getting in the way of my full enjoyment of this and most likely the rest of the album too. Holy fuck though, to see Pendulum back, even in this capacity is a fucking phenomenal feeling - and bloody hell have Noisia done an outstanding job with this. Nothing on the original but fucking incredible really.

They did an outstanding job, if their job was to create hype around the album. this track is the ice breaker, a weapon of mind destruction. Noisia just did what they do best, they changed the polarity of the song, twisted and torn everything apart to create this beautiful monster.

What worries me is that this Reworks album is a cop-out for Pendulum to make that last album their contract says that they need to! As much as I love remixes it doesn't compare to original Pendulum work! I still hope they'll make a new album!

I mean don't get me wrong I really hope they make a new album too!!... but tbh if none of them are feeling it we would just be left with a mediocre album that didn't have heart in it which would be disappointing, and that's not how I want to see Pendulum go out. So here's hoping they do make a last album of new stuff that they're excited about like we are!

I'm on the same page as you, I wouldn't want them to put out something mediocre but I don't want them to fob us off with a remix album either! They've teased an album for years, so to not do one would be a real kick in the teeth! Immersion isn't closure for fans as we expected another album, if they released an album & confirmed it to be the end then that would be them going out with a bang. Right now they are fading in & out in a state of will they or won't they.

And for the peeps who say original is better so this one is nothing special - remix is a standalone producion which is based on the elements of the original one that means that any remix isn't supposed to be better or worse than it original version. So saying this is nothing just because the original is "better" than remix shows how much you know about dnb and music in general. I was like 10 when I listened hold your colour for the first time, it gave me that nostalgic vibe that no other song could gave me back than, that song made me a fan of pendulum and I loved all of their albums. But time passes by, we grow up, we change, we think of other things, we think about our future but I will never forget the goosebumps they gave me. Now im almost 20 and even if they never read this comment I wanted to be grateful to them because they were part of my life and im happy to have grown up to such an amazing band❤.

Funny Story: Back when Pendulum finished making Hold Your Colour (LP) they kept sending demos of the song The Terminal to one of Noisia's record labels (idk which) to get signed, but Noisia turned them down. This is their way of making it up to Pendulum :P

No, atm i rarely listen to dnb, but i prefer heavy neurofunk, and deep stuff from Alix Perez, Spectrasoul, Sabre etc.. And considering Noisia, I started to listen to their productions from 2006 (Therapy Session 3 mixed by them) and even after 12 years they still deliver quality productions. This remix is just not for me :P

Hmmm, I'd think basic is the cookie cutter structure and composition of this remix, the utter failure in maintaining the feeling and melodic nature of the original and don't get me started on the obligatory whack ass sample before the drop. Los últimos remixes oficiales son basura en comparación con lo que Pendulum/KP o Noisia saben hacer; no están poniendo ningún tipo de esfuerzo tanto en producción como en cabina. Esto no es Drum and Bass, es neurofunk-step y es un desastre en toda regla.

Eltezznn KP ahora solo está burlándose de la escena del EDM, la mitad de las producciones de Abandon Ship no son producciones serias, este remix es del tipo de PLUR Police, pura joda, Rob Swire twiteó que se divirtió sampleando a 128 BPM, este remix es para hincharle las pelotas a los bassheads

Sorry to burst your bubble but i can't even play this to my drum and bass friends it sounds that awfull. No character to it at all apart from the intro made by pendulum, its repetitive and boring as fuck you cant mix subby square waves with high pitch screechs its like 3 tunes copied and pasted into one project that dont go together

Intro was amazing and 1:07 onward had me hyped as fuck! Weren’t fantastic, probably would of been if it was a Noisia original, didn’t feel like it fit Hold Your Colour :/ they should of remixed something mad like Salt in the Wounds or something?
